Accor is one of the top and largest group in the hotel industry, offering choices of accomodation in any price range. If you travel frequently and you are not on a tight budget when you do so, Accor membership is fairly useful. However, there are not many hotels in its stable available in Malaysia and Singapore. It is fairly represented by Ibis in Indonesia and China.

As per the title, any members williing to share their experiences? Thanks.

i am. to me its quite useful.

it doesnt cost much ($288) and it gives u 2 nights stay straight away. but to use the voucher for the more expensive hotels (sofitels for example) you need to book early. for the not so expensive ones, not that difficult. if you have an intended stay coming up, for example sofitel sydney, one night already recoup the cost..

the 10 percent off is not that great, but still useful. i sometimes find rates cheaper on other websites.. but well, still useful generally.

accor has a wide range of hotels, most are generally quite well managed. for example, when i want to keep budget low, i just stay at a ibis. very good value. want a more family friendly hotel, theres novotel... etc etc

but what i find most useful is the dining. 50 percent off for 2 persons dining. i just stayed at sofitel krabi recently and every meal was half price. good quality restaurant food at a very good price. of cos there is cheaper food at those roadside stalls, but this card offers good value.

if u recommend 5 firends to sign up, ur next year's membership is free. (i thought that this is quite cheapo though, 5 signs up for only one year's fees)

Do they offer you 2 night stay every year or is it just a one off affair?

i have been a member for 2 years plus. when i first joined it was 2 nights.

when they offered me a renewal after first year, they told me its only 1 night, as the 2 nights was a promo.

i said i didnt want to renew. the sales executive said she will check with her manager and called me again offering me 2 nights again.

depends on the sales executive i think. generally should not be a prob getting 2 nights. unless they have decided to change it. 1 night not that worth it.

but again, i like it for the dining. cos i travel with my child (4 yr old). so we prefer the hotel restaurants, feel more at ease with hygiene etc

Thanks for the information. My kid is 4yrd old too ;-).

I have Feed at Raffles and it's free because of AMEX card.

Anyone keen to get a Advantage-plus card? Bulk purchase maybe cheaper... for Australia's hotel is expensive, especially Sydney say >$3xx/night. So this card would be good.

If going two locations, both spouses should get one cardeach, so that each location to stay 2 nights, each one will book for 1 night free. $150/night, including taxes (I think) quite ok. $298 X 2 = 4 nights stay in 2 hotels.

Thanks for the info. But I'm very curious about one thing. Does this Accor AdvantagePlus allow you to book any Hotel around the world or is it only Asia Pac? I do more European destinations as opposed to Asia Pac so I would prefer to get something that works globally...

if memory serves me right, that card only serves asia. for worldwide usage they have things like accor favourite guests etc. the meal discounts are good, and it comes with a comp cake during your birthday, etc. not to mention the 2 comp nights andd subsequent 10% off rates. for best result, book through the member's portal to get 10% off public promotional rates.

Need to pay a supplement charge now for booking at sofitel for the free night

Not worth it to get

Unless u stay and use the dining discount often

Sent from Motorola MOTO G (4) using GAGT
erhmmm... i got the blue le club accor card.. i think its pretty useless... to earn points, must book via their website only.. while expedia and agoda themselves are offering very competitive rates..
