I still play games but only those titles are interesting to me. Like my recent Wukong, horizon, monster hunter, wuchang and etc. I find my response slower and most bosses I need my my kids to fight for me.. I can see the move but somehow not responding fast enough to play.

Then you are super lucky one and already 100 times better than me. I can fire up the games, within 5 minutes... I will give up even nobody interrupt me...

With kids in tow, it's also almost impossible. I tried to just watch a 2 hours movie yesterday... Just as the time bar struck the 1 hour mark, my mother in law said I must get my kid the 10 years exam papers series which she couldn't find... So, I had to rush to the nearest Popular bookstore only to find it closed down. Then I spend couple of hours last evening and couple of hours to figure out which is the correct exam papers stacks to buy from Shopee...

... I still have to check how much gold have shed overnight... How to answer my clients calls today... Play games? Come on...

Just for context...

How to tell which papers are Normal Chinese and which papers are higher Chinese before I place order on Shopee?

why u always so preachy???

Some said I am an aunty...or a naggy uncle😓 just being realistic...you can put playing games as your retirement plan... Good luck with that.

Just sharing my own encounters anyway...

I can even share what I observed among my peers...

Early 40s ... Many bought DSLR... and a while later all kept in the dry box only. Then mid 40s, many will be buying those expensive bicycle costing over $3,000-$5,000... and eventually sold off at half the price because no space to keep. Same for me... Then you talk about cars, shares, properties, bitcoins, ETFs, now gold ... A little later, talks about retirement plans, insurance coverage, which properties are within 1km of good schools, other than work and family... Where got time for games? 🤷

Just buy from Amazon. Less than $200. Play till your joystick spoil. But make sure the one you buy have music otherwise those discs games will only have sound effects.

Buy playstations from US has region lock? Then can play games from non US regions? Or must buy only US region games?

Nothing confirmed, but starting early, submitted request to Human Resources, boss is supportive, but need to work out details

Am age 48, lucky to already have fully paid 2rm hdb, some savings, manage expenses, so please do your own financial calculations before considering

If current job eventually unable to offer part-time, will move to part-time work elsewhere, have already been looking online, some possible options which are sector-adjacent to current work, e.g. social sector, or healthcare
