Any Iphone5 user with power button issues?

deciding whether i should get my power button fixed.

i'm afraid that my glas.tr protector won't re-adhere nicely then waste of $50+

and i'm scared the iOS version is the latest one 6.1.3 which means no jb

and if my phone is jb now means i have to factory reset before swapping right?

Yes you better think twice. Once glas.tr screen protector is removed, cannot re-use again like normal protectors.

and got such thing as i check the replacement set's iOS version before swapping? because if 6.1.3 i rather wait until the jailbreak release then swap

hmmm not sure about their policies regarding jailbroken phone.. but i think better restore 1st! don't forget to backup all your files..

anyway regarding those people with scruff marks, when i exchanged my phone, my iphone 5 also got abit scruff marks and a couple of small chip marks.. but they're not really noticeable though.. it depends on how obvious the scratches are...

I dunno if it's the same as my glas.t for my 4S. I tranferred it from my old 4S to my current one, still looks as gd as new.

Can share how you did it? Just pry it off and transfer? Then how do you remove it in the first place? Use your nails ah?

Yes I just use my nails and start to carefully pry off at one corner until it separates from the phone (air bubble effect) but DO NOT pull it too much off it as leaving it for too long will introduce dusts under the sticking part. But remember to do this in a clean area such as your room without turning on the fan and clean your phone's screen throughly, making sure that absolutely no marks or dusts are on it and QUICKLY do the transfer.

This will minimise any dusts accumulating below the screen protector and it being made of tempered glass (stiff), sticks faster than an average film screen protector.

Swee got it swapped at paragon and I got 6.1.2 go home straight away jailbreak!!! Perfect swap!!! Was afraid of 6.1.3 or super outdated like 6.0.1

Just change mine at QCD, power button issue.

good point. im also having this issue, good thing i read this post. will go down to comcentre to have my phone replaced then will inquire what happens if the same problem occurs. hopefully, the 1-to-1 exchange is not limite to 1 time only.

I just did an exchange at M1, Paragon. The phone can be exchanged more than once as long as it is still within the warrenty period (12 months from date of purchase).

I had a case on but like what others had mentioned, it is a phone issue and not so much of a case issue. When i went for an exchange, even the staff told me that it is a common problem and proceeded to do an exchange for me.

My friend's power button (and lock button) also stopped working out of the blue...ugh. Gotta fix.

so far this issue happened to all of my friends using iphone 5 including me.
damn sad, buy new phone within 3months need to exchange for refurbished.

Hi guys!
My iPhone 5 power\sleep button is getting harder to press these days. It'll take a couple of presses to actually lock the phone.
Damn. Anyone's phone with the Same problem too?
Could I bring the phone back to Singtel for exchange?

And yes, it's the right side of the power button with problem, left side is working well. Oh damn it, using activator to lock/unlock the phone now.
