I only accepted this job because they told me new clinic very few patients but it was not true . In fact can be very busy. So I feel cheated. And I told him I need to bring contract back for hubby to see but he pressurised me to sign.

Ew. When a clinic is busy it means a lot ppl are gettin sick and seeking help!

She can find treating and assessing patients as troublesome and only want to do relaxing job. Disgusting...

If something major really happens (terrorism/war). You won't see her helping out at all. She will grab everything and run off.

I am on probation for 3 months. I have a right to resign. It is unreasonable to have 3 monthd notice period. Usually it is 1-2 weeks. And I have a good reason to resign. For medical reasons. It was affecting my health.

Really disgusting for a profession to talk like this. Signed the contract cuz of all the good benefits included then now want to say some clauses unreasonable.

Hello, you are not a fresh graduate and neither are you earning less than 2k to be protected by MOM employment acts.

Not to worry so much, is not crime, just breaking employment contract

Even if really bring you to task, the judge will either request you to fufilled the 3 mth tender or ask you compensate in terms of money

Next time better think twice prior to signing a contract or became a partner

Take this as a lesson, weight the pros and cons, if you can't take the stress and long hour, suggest you to be a Locum.

With your other investment, you should be good to go

Definitely, I will not risk my health and my family's health for ungrateful Sgpn.

If not for my feedback to Health Minister to provide PAPR suits, there would not be a Sgp. Sars would have wiped u out.

I will pray and ask God what to do. Does he want Sg to survive or not. If Sg is evil in his eyes, it is not worth saving.

You have the right to resign according to the terms of the contract and not what you think or feel.

Please stop disturbing your poor boss and just pay him the 3 months LD because you had breached your contract. So that he can quickly find another salaried partner and look into assessing & treat the patients in the neighbourhood!

If only a few patient, doubt he'll need a partner.

Likely he alone or with the aid of his clinic assistant is can handle.

Starting a new clinic mean he has to pay rent and probably on renovation and engaging clinic assistant

Sign a new partner like you of cos is to make money for him hence the more patient the merrier

To say you were pressured into entering an unfair contract is dumb excuse, especially for an educated person with age.

It is not that I don't want to serve 3 months notice but I cannot because of medical reasons. I can locum but I cannot work there. Cause boss is a Catholic and I was bullied by a Catholic before. Bosses wife is a clinic assistant and I have been bullied by clinic assistants before.

To mention his religion is unbecoming.

+ I think she sleeps better than her boss and his wife every night.
(imagine the psychological torture they had to go through when TS threaten she will commit suicide! As a practising doctor can say this kind of thing sia...)

notice she asked for lawyer advice but yet she did not provide much info such as all the clauses stated in her contract? Neither a hint of the salary paid
(She got the cheek to say unreasonable contract terms so she don't want to pay the 3 months LD, but yet still expect/want to receive her 1 week pay of working from her boss )

I think it is only fair that they pay me my 1 week salary and let me quit without notice on medical grounds.

you should see a lawyer officially to have understanding of legal terms and let him read your legal contract word by word instead of throwing your **** everywhere ... You are just letting the GP community know exactly who are you. zzz

Notice period 1 month means
1)if your employer sack you immediately without prior notice, he pays you 1 month salary.
2)if you quit immediately without prior notice, you pay your employer 1 month salary.

You should stop your participation in this thread.

U can BOTH come to an amicable agreement IN THE BEST INTEREST OF PATIENTS to go separate ways without any loss or to volunteer to compensate each other for any damages caused.

E.g. u waive the 7 days salary cos not much and maybe u overstated your capabilities in interview or resume.

At least u get out of a tight spot and they focus on finding replacement.

Don't think it's in patients interest if the doctor isn't interested in treating their sicknesses etc.

Sounds like u r in some sort of business venture rather than employment contract.

U really need a proper lawyer advice.

Maybe go to those at community centre / SAFRA vs hubby (all need to book appointment), they do give free consultation slots.

The moment u talk about being liable for business set up/ closure loss, means your contract may be a BUSINESS CONTRACT and not a mere employment one.

Me no lawyer, but u really need to consult one if U don't understand the terms of the written contract ASAP.

Make sure all correspondence is written black and white (e.g. email print out).

If u offer to work but they say no, make sure that is documented.

Means they cannot sue u for break contract because they don't want u (e.g. terminate u) and not vice versa.

Best to be mutual decision.

Don't think u should sue them for not giving u 3 months notice by the facts of your case. Best to part amicably, nobody gets hurt.

I am quite sure u signed because u wanted easy $$$ (u said 'little work to do').

U should have done part time work in the clinic, then sign contract when u feel comfortable about the contract terms and conditions).

Love for $$$ is the root of all evil.

That said, probation should mean either party can terminate any time unless otherwise agreed. If manage to continue till period over, then again both will come to another agreement on how to proceed unless already mutually agreed decision.

Unless the written contract States otherwise that is.
