cant get used to ah tiong.......are they generally quite materialistic??
what i don't like in heart signal2/3 is the panelists portion...they go on and on for a long time for the boliao crystals...as if the audience is interested who will win the most crystals.
the exchange panelists are better and they are like us rooting for the participants which made them more relatable.
I can't gauge materialism so much, but they are definitely less inhibited than koreans. More open with their feelings and taking action than korea.
First couple of seasons in heart signal for Chinese version was similar, panelists were fixated on winning the crystals rather than discussing couple interactions. The recent one I am watching, Heart Signal 4, focused less on it. They don't make a big fuss about getting right or wrong, since they support the couple even if they made a mistake. In the earlier seasons, it was more competitive, where panelists will just root for the couple and try to outcompete each other.
Chinese version in terms of visuals and career potential of participants generally worse than korea. But heart signal 4, seems to be better than previous iterations. Participants are better looking and have really good career potential for both the girl/guy side.
Chinese version, however has a lot of product placement where they make the participants promote products in ads, which I usually just skip it.
