Someone told me they can meal prep with $5 for dinner and still have left over for next day. Is this even realistic?
Meal prep is the best method to lose weight because you can control what you eat.
Rast time I overseas for 1 month. stay inside a Airbnb. I meal prep myself .. every week eat the same thing... can lose weight effectively...

Meal prep probably means taste will not be as good - if you can compromise on that, with better nutrition... Eat to Live instead of Live to Eat.

Really? I kept left over chicken (curry, stew, roasted, boiled or braised type), no change in taste leh. In fact the curry, braised and stew ones tasted even better. Maybe abit drier if it's breast meat.
Learned this through experience every CNY

Roast chicken (or any type, especially steamed chicken) kept in fridge to heat up next day

Usually taste “off”

Whereas roast duck roast pork still good.

yes this, it is certainly not cheap now given the ingredient costs + time + effort compared to before
Effort will be more than $5 alrdy lol
Question is, can you really do a meal prep with $5?

let me calculate what I made for 3pax lunch today. One pkt of Guotie, mix veg pot, Otar, $4+$5+$4.5. +$1.5(rice). Only ingredients then some are bought in bulk so have discounts. My effort and oil, sauces not counted in yet. Well, if u get cheaper meat veg $5 on ingredient alone yes maybe can.
