Anyone is also using the StarHub UltraSpeed (10Gbps)? I am so frustrated. (Solved by upgrading ONR firmware.)

That should be fine. What is your Asus setup?

I believe your main interests in Homehub+ UltraSpeed bundle is the contents and not the 10Gbps internet, in that case, it is perfectly fine to use the 10Gbps plan as 2.5Gbps or even 1Gbps plan.
using a simple
RT-Ax86s as main unit in the hall and supported by a RP-AC55 to boost signal in the bedrooms.

I see. If your current setup works fine, just continue using it.

RT-AX86S is a fine router. You can consider upgrade to a better one later when the price goes down.

Most people who signed up homehub+ just need TV contents and not the 10Gbps internet. Most app are going to minimise the bandwidth requirement so actually do not need such speed now.

Any way to bridge ONR without superadmin pass?

No way as of now. At least no one has figured out a way to bridge without the superadmin password for the Nokia XS-2426X-A ONR.

BTW, it is the same for bridging Singtel / WC GPON ONRs (Huawei/Nokia/ZTE), you need the superadmin password. Same for Singtel F8648P XGS-PON ONR. The good thing about Singtel/WC ONRs is that the superadmin password is not one-time. And only Nokia G240 ONR superadmin password has not been publicly posted in this forum. The other Singtel/WC ONRs have their superadmin password generation method posted in this forum.

Just sharing, initial service appointment is on coming Wednesday. Received a call over the weekend that it will be postpone due to NLT unable to fulfil the order in such a short notice (insufficient capacity issue). Was further told that my FTP is unable to provide the “ultraspeed”. Next update from NLT to SH will be in 19th Aug. Quite disappointing with it.

Nothing to be disappointed as at least they are aware of the problem and NLT will follow up to resolve the issue. NLT may also repair the TP if necessary. Both SH and NLT will make sure that the issue has been resolved before they come for the installation of the ONT and router. You signed up for Homehub Ultra Speed? If you are existing user, you can watch the TV contents normally on your existing TV box. No big issue at all. We should get better speed after the ISP upgraded their backend equipment.

Yup, HomeHub Ultrasports. Disappointed mainly because of the new EPL season is starting but I still can’t get the box set and the TV packs.

No problem if you are existing user with the existing TV box, you can watch it from the existing TV box. If you do not have an existing TV box then you can create your hub id and watch from Handphone app then you cast it to your TV. For example Samsung Smart Phone can smart share to the smart TV. Samsung TV or android TV will have the Starhub TV App in their App store. Just download it and use it to watch with your Hub ID and password. Chromecast also can work.

I believe he is saying that Starhub allows the user to go with the ONT and not the default Nokia all-in-one XGS-PON ONR (XS-2426X-A). Same price. That is the same for Starhub's S$45 per month 5Gbps basic plan. It is said that you need to go to the shop to make it black and white.

1. HomeHub+ UltraSports --> effective price at S$65 per month (first 12 month S$45, S$85 per month after that).
https://www.starhub.com/personal/store/broadband.html
https://www.starhub.com/personal/st...dle-1-year-free-10gbps-broadband-onr-wif.html
HomeHub+ UltraSports : 1 Year Free 10Gbps Broadband
$45.00 per month for first 12 months. $85/month thereafter. For new broadband sign-ups
Premier League
Sports+
UltraSpeed 10Gbps Broadband
Netflix & Disney+, 3 months of Amazon Prime
Free 24-month TV+ Pro rental
Wifi 6 Router (Nokia XS-2426X-A all-in-one ONR with AX6000 WiFi 6) --> you can change to XGS-PON ONT and use your own router.

2. UltraSpeed 5Gbps plan at S$45 per month

https://www.starhub.com/personal/st...ts/ultraspeed-5gbps-onr_ultraspeed-5gbps.html
24-month
UltraSpeed 5Gbps with ONR (Nokia XS-2426X-A all-in-one ONR with AX6000 WiFi 6) --> you can change to XGS-PON ONT and use your own router.
$45 per month
Includes 1 10Gbps Optical Network Router (WiFi 6) & Amazon Prime on us for 3 months
Free installation & consultation, including the best router placement for optimum WiFi experience
Anyone managed to re-contract StarHub broadband to the HomeHub+ UltraSports promotion ($45/month for first 12 month, S$85/month after that) and also changed it to ONT?
I tried to do that at StarHub shop and also through tele-sale but StarHub is very firm it is only for new sign-up. And also very firm this plan cannot change to ONT.
But when I tried it at online shop, it is possible to re-contract to this promo plan. But then there is no option to request for ONT.
So frustrated with all these contradicting detail from StarHub.

huh? can one la, as i recently went to SH @ Tampines Mall

my existing plan was already due for re-contract since late-June this year. i enquired for this plan and asked whether can change to ONT and they said it's possible...

i'm aware that this plan is for new sign-ups only, but the staff told me it's possible. but how?
1. he will terminate my plan
2. once terminated, he will proceed this plan for me

however, the only catch is my digital voice number will be terminated and i had to use a new number for this. therefore, i didn't proceed with this plan, and opted for this plan instead, https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/...yrepublic-simba-and-vq.6930337/post-153332527

I see. So it is true it is only for new sign-up. They also suggested the only option is to terminate current plan and res-sign a new plan. But there will be downtime in between and also the hassle of keeping digital voice number.
And for the $85/month that you signed up, again they told me it is NOT possible to change to ONT

they never told me anything about downtime. once terminated, you will lose your existing digital voice number and you are given a new number. that's what all i know...

brother, there are two $85/month plans. show them this page
https://www.starhub.com/personal/store/tv.html?tab3

1. [HomeHub+ UltraSports] WiFi 6 Nokia Router (ONR setup) $85/month
2. [HomeHub+ UltraSports] WiFi 7 (ONT setup) $85/month, top-up $15/month for their TP-Link EB810v
so total is $100/month

take note for option 2 (which i chose this plan), if you don't opt the $15, you are only given the XGS-PON ONT. therefore, you need to source your own Wireless Router...

Hi, Yes, I did try to subscribe to option 2 online, but there is no option to change to ONT. I called up tele-sale and they told me this plan CANNOT change to ONT. I told them this option is listed on Starhub online store website but he said he doesn't see it. Asked me to drop them email with the screenshot and they will see what they can do. I really don't know what to say with Starhub service.

this is one of the reasons why i prefer going to their physical outlets rather than doing it online, or even tele-sales...

any doubts, can straightaway clarify with them.
any disputes, can straightaway show them proof, etc.

Anybody on the OG 10Gbps plan? I went to the Plaza Sing outlet and asked them whether can exchange to ONT. Also told them about the deal where we had to get the TPLink Wifi 7 router. So far, no news from them. Anybody else managed to exchange from ONR to ONT?

Homehub Ultra Sports can change to ONT for sure. Even my old homehub+ also can change to ONT with
TP-Link router. Only some time blur or new staff say can not. Soon they are coming to swap the equipment for me la. Heard that everyone on 10Gbps can request for this swap from ONR to ONT but must pay $15/mth. Soon all ISPs will upgrade backend equipment then users will enjoy more. I think upgrade to Wifi 7 router is consider front end equipment upgrade and then later backend equipment upgrade.
