2k a month, 24k a year.

Cost more than degree liao.

At this kind of price, can expect the kid to be able to write and publish academic papers?

Think for the elites circle, important is the social circle and connections, not so much the study result. Many don't need their children to be einsten to be successful. Just their background and connections is enough to 'lift' their children up to higher places liao. Only thing is their children cannot be too jialat lah. So, ordinary people cannot compare and copy. :s22:
Think the elites send their children to expensive kindergartens, not really because the education is superb, and not really for their children

More for themselves to network with other elite parents

Children always have birthday parties and other celebrations. Can create regular opportunities to meet and talk to other parents.

Same as mentioned, its more for the social circle and connections. They high net worth got more things in common. Also all these events and such they can match each others.

Nowadays think kindergartens, especially quite some private ones perhaps, tend celebrate the kid birthday in class with the rest of the classmate. So, have to spend extra on the cake and gift. If not siam on that day, which the kid might feel left out.

Also, those major festive holidays the kindergarten tend celebrate with the kids also, so as to introduce the kids into such festive. Not sure about gift, but think clothing have to spend.

And think for the elites, they may tend have their own private party and gathering for the kids and thus parent to come together.

Thus if squeeze into the elite circle kindergarten, and want to network with them, best be ready got that extra moolah to keep up bah.

Its to give the best to the child. If best is too expensive, then at least settle for better.

Same as the things parents do to get their child into the best school. To them, good school is not enough. Minister also said in Parliament got such thing as lousy school, so better avoid the lousy schools if not might get bullied or ridicued if spoken English is not up to mark.

Yeah.
Children at that age don't really care about how much these things cost. To them a birthday party is just a birthday party. And at the end of the day, the networking is for the adults, not the children.

How many people still keep in contact with their preschool classmates?

A lot of peasant kumgongs still think enrolling their kids in atas kindergarten is good for the children's education, and work hard to cough out money for the school fees, and never utilise the networking opportunity with the parents.

Then when kid move on to primary school, kpkb that their kids not any better than other kids who went sparkletots

What Kindergarten you send your kids? I got a friend send his boy to this Kiddiwinkie that cost 2K plus a month for a full day Kindergarten. He's not from rich family just an ordinary lad with pay about 6-7K with wife household income around 10K ish.

Is that too excessive? Why this school charge such fees? Really got use? I dun mind if can guarantee my child will become an elite then it's worth it but no such guarantee right? 🤔
