Use GPU to mine scrypt coin, use ASIC to mine bitcoin.

Unless new cgminer software can optimise 290x to raise speed to 1000 kh/s, get 7970 or 7950. They are the best p/p currently.


it is like how ppl use Firepro or Quadro card instead of CPU

basis, and nodes can leave and rejoin the network at will, accepting the longest
proof-of-work chain as proof of what happened while they were gone.

OK guys I have tested mining using 290x oc to 1.1GHz....I have to say its totally not worth the time and effort. OK I use slush pool and cgminer. But I realise its way too slow to produce any meaningful income.

The reason is that pooled mining is divided into blocks, so those are mine faster will get a larger share. In the end, you will end up with a miserable small amount of share because of your speed.

290x can at most get me $1 a day.......I was like WTF........

GPU cannot make it these days. Need to go ASIC.

if solve liao wif correct answer u get +1 point

havent had the time to take a good look at that article. having exams now.

after exam then take a good look. anyway good timing too. offloaded, closed all my btc positions before exams start.

i had expected a dbl top before china announced the news. my guess is, either people expected china to do so and they "paint" the chart to form a dbl top

OR the news is just a convenient trigger for an already forming dbl top.

this is a question of fundamental analysis vs technical analysis.

Btw, one thing I have great skeptical about it is that the currency has no backing. China has banned bitcoins......sucks.

still exploiting free vps to expand :D:D
i using bter.com to exchange from yac - btc
around $5 a day for me

0.03-0.05 khash/s.
I'm not using my host to mine
