1. Never go polyclinic dental if one holds Blue Chas or those PG cards coz there would not give additional subsidies.

2. Find a Chas Dental Clinic with no GST.

3. For PG (subsidies higher than Blue Chas), usually semi annual cleaning is free after subsidy. My brother paying $10 with his Blue Chas. (clinic selection is important as some clinics will anyhow chop. Always try to google to read reviews and siam those dentists arming with sharp knives).

4. My nephew's wisdom tooth extraction (not surgery) cost $10+ with Blue Chas.

Eg:

*maximum 4 teeth extraction in a year.

Dental cost are super exp. Even with whatever discounts, it will still be high for your auntie neighbour
Our Govt should fully subside dental for the poorer elderly folks . Most of them just let their teeth rot & decay.
Elderly got Pioneer and Merdeka discount. No need chas.

Yes any Chas Dental (many many around).

Just avoid chain / branded clinics that tend to anyhow charge. Also avoid very old dental clinics with old dentists (these dentists tend to be rough handed. Younger (not 'young' like late 20s) tend to be better / more pain-free.

Clinic prices increase for the same procedure of past two years, but CHAS subsidy remain same. Did not keep up with the rising costs.
