MCA=multi currency account

for the withdrawal part, still not clear on that...waiting for ppl to report back

but tbh, i think its unlikely that you can only withdraw back to the account that was deposited.

Most likely is you have to authenticate and do more security checks to add another bank account number in

have to check with TD on that

Does it take very long for wire transfer to arrive for USD? Usually thought there needs to be track record to adhere to US anti money laundering rules so will take long time to transfer in and out, here and there

If i not mistaken, u can only withdraw to bank account in your own name.

Never heard of ibkr to td.
It doesnt make sense for competitors to want to facilitate this

I am gonna open dbs multicurrency account, remove usd from ibkr to dbs and send it to TD via dbs overseas remit....no need change currency. Should be do-able.

No incoming wire charges for sending usd to dbs. Nt sure about ibkr side, havent check.

U confirm that DBS MCA can receive USD without $10 fee? Thats the reason why I rather receive usd cheque or cashier order from people and bank it over the counter to avoid the $10 fee.

Sorry, that was a typo. Should be no incoming wire charges from TD side for receiving USD.

Apparently u can juz open new dbs account and it is sort of a sub of your bank account and dont need 3000 SGD minimum inside to maintain. This sub acct can receive USD too.

Go to bank and ask and open the account.

They may offer you a transfer to other brokers should they decide to close SG office. Can probably transfer to IBKR. I was with TDA US from early 2000 and got transfer to TDA SG in 201X when they decided to open an office here.

Btw on dbs, u can juz go to top right > apply deposit account > my acct ....and create a new sub account. That sub acct has 12 currencies including USD.

To test that it can hold USD - U can use transfer> to my account ...and send usd to that account from your sgd account. It will auto convert. Your new account holds SGD.

I went to a bank to learn this lol.

so meaning, withdrawing USD from FSM they only sends out cheque for USD withdrawal and not via wiring or fund transfer?

Just opened an account and they are requesting for documents to be uploaded. However, i cannot see the documents required and the option to upload it.

is this normal? or i have to wait for it to be updated?
