transfers via ACATs is very fast, just 2 working days. for manual transfer it'll be slow.

Hi, just want to know do your side sharing the same issue?

i am TOS user, recently try to transfer my position to IBKR.
but the progress is not smooth.
a. the transfer is not allow for transfer fraction share.
b. during the transfer, some of my option is begin exercise (this make my margin become negative, and my balance is transfer to IBKR, but margin on TOS, TOS charges me margin fee because of negative rate.) in my opinion, this is TOS fault. but i can;t do anything............
c. no choice i initial another transfer for the negative margin and exercise stock to IBKR.
d. after transfer to IBKR, fraction share pending TOS to liquidity ( But TOS direct close my account, my fraction share value unable to retrieve)
e. write email to TOS and no response........

it seem that i have to take the lose for margin rate and all my fraction share cost is gone..............
this TOS really bad.....

Thanks for sharing. I am into US fractional shares so I will take note in case my broker also close shop. Another reason why I reduce my holdings on US denominated investment.

not sure the dividend is till paying to TD instead.

If you requested a whole account transfer then the dividend should "catch up." Just wait for the dividend to transfer over. If you requested transfer of individual securities then you may need to file another transfer request if you want the dividend to move over.

My first trading platform is FSM when I trade SG Stock....when I start trading US Stock...the commission/fee charged by FSM gives me heart-attack....I switched to TDA....now need to switch because TDA will be charging monthly fee...

I think transferring your funds from Moomoo to TD Ameritrade will be good too! Moomoo recently announced that they support ACATS transfer, so I think that will be really convenient and fuss-free for most users.

I cannot do full transfer to IBKR cos I have microcaps stock. Now the assets are in ibkr but I'm not able to login to TD. Anyone encountered same issue? Sigh.

After submitting the AI form...you still required to go open a new account at Charles Schwab right ?

I heard the old TDA account cannot be use after Dec 23.

Just got the news of approval, after almost a month.
Nope. They would auto-move it, don't need to do anything.

This was in the email they sent:
Your new TD Ameritrade Inc account is currently in the midst of opening and may take up to 3-5 business days to complete. Once the account is opened, your assets will be transferred from your existing account held with TD Ameritrade Singapore to your new account with TD Ameritrade Inc.

However they also said:
There will be a trading restriction placed on your existing account to ensure the transfer process goes smoothly. If you need to manage your positions, please give us a call at +65 6823 2250 during US market hours for us to assist you.
