I run them on a VM. My host is an Asus WS Pro X570 Ace Ryzen 9 5950X (you could use even a Ryzen 5 with iGPU - much better IMHO), but I think you can use your existing desktop, no need to spend more money on an AI compute node.

You already have the most important bit of hardware - the RTX 3090 24gb.

If I had the opportunity to start over, I would get a AMD EPYC Rome/Milan motherboard. But the baseline power draw is ‍

I m running on nutanix community edition running dockers. Running antigravity and omni for video production.

Am4 processor with igpu is running on pcie 3 not 4. Will have some impact on performance. Becareful.
