Actually to me is how efficient and cool can they go to, I don't see any point in having 5 ticks and it takes up to 2 hours to cool a room. I rather have a 2 ticks that can cool a room in 15mins to 22-23, partially this can also be the reason why consumption is higher. Of course, this is individual's preference.:s13:

If your ac needs to be 22 for you to feel cold, your ac either hasn’t been serviced for some time, or seriously sucks.

I understand what you mean, the fan circulates the cool air better and it is true, coz air con fan even at full blast doesn't circulate air as fast, what you have experienced is more obvious in rooms with a lot of glass.

i faint today i ask 3 aircon sales person, i want upgrade to SWG21

sales person 1: you have to understand this risk that SWG21 the inside diameter will be narrower then SWG22, so the gas pressure will increase deu to SWG 21 inside pipe diameter is smaller.

sales person 2: SWG21 or SWG22 the inside diameter of the copper pipe is the same, only the SWG21 the pipe wall is thicker

Sales person 3: SWG21 or SWG22, the SWG21 the inner diameter will be larger.

anyone know which is correct?

Get a standing fan, instantly feel cooler esp in this weather. The aircon temperature setting has to be lowered than usual in this weather to feel the same level of coolness. To me this is wasteful hence I supplement it with a standing fan. Of cos there is also a ceiling fan above to circulate the air.

let me look into it, i prefer light that can light up the a little room rather then all is dark other then the lamp area
My ceiling fan is the fanco model with detachable light bulbs that can be changed. Also got the option to off the lights.

Every brand got it's fair share of issues one lah, even starmex also :s13:
Now using Pana xu...
Previously had a Sanyo, easily lasted 15 years with basic maintenance. Heard Haier bought over Sanyo SEA biz and their tech. Wonder how's their reliability...

use york better
Pretty much a Midea nowadays.. Remembered seeing Welling(under Midea) blower motor in it. So does a Carrier.

made in Japan Toshiba
:s13:
Even Toshibas sold in Japan comes with GMCC(Midea) compressor, fan motor .etc...

SWG (Standard Working Gauge) refers to the thickness of the copper piping. The grade varies from the lowest SWG25 (0.51mm thickness) to SWG21 (0.81mm thickest)

The current R410A refrigerant operates at 1.6 times the pressure of old R22 refrigerant. The thickness of the the copper piping should be at least 0.81mm (SWG21).

So the answer to your question is:- Use only SWG21 (0.81mm) and thicker pipes (eg SWG20 (0.91mm) ). SWG22 to SWG25 are not suitable for the high operating pressure of R410A refrigerant.

Note:- The tiny 0.2 to 0.4mm difference (<1mm) in the internal diameter of the copper piping between 1-2 SWG difference will not cause any significant difference in flow of the refrigerant

thanks. learn something new again when i check for R32 copper thickness

R32 refrigerant aircon, recommended pipe thickness is no less than 0.8mm. as R410A operates at slightly lower pressure than R32.

in short R32 need SWG21 or SWG20 but most installer give SWG22 which is only 0.71mm

Always go for the quality tried & tested. Chances of breakdown is reduced.
