My colleague told me ANZ waived off his annual fee. My Optimum card is going to be billed the annual fee during this month statement. I am pretty hopeful that it will be waived off. I will let you guys know what happens.

Meanwhile I have just applied for HSBC revolution card. Need to spend $600 in one month, to get a suitcase and $20 cash back. So once I get that card, I will be busy using it for atleast 1 month. Also this card gives 5X rewards for dining(without any minimum monthly spend), so in case ANZ doesn't waive off the annual fee, the HSBC revolution card will become my new primary card, until the next offer comes along :)

My Citi SMRT card is currently my ezlink autotop up and grocery card(fairprice) and I am going to cancel my POSB everyday card today. Its a pretty useless card now.

If you buy ntuc voucher fron fairprice; yes that's still considered groceries as itcis determined by the merchant code; not what you buy.

Still hoping someone can share info whether redmart considered groceries or not

Hi peeps,

Thinking to apply for this card. Some questions that I have:

1) Under the group of "dining and leisure", cinema is one of the qualifying activity. If I usually book movie tickets online, does it apply? Or only purchase over the counter kind?

2) I planning for my oversea trip soon so expecting to book hotels/car rental soon all through online. Does this fall under "travel" or "Dining and leisure"?

3) Having restaurant meals overseas falls under "travel" or "Dining and leisure"?

TIA...:)

hotels via hotel website = leisure
hotels via travel agents (eg Expedia, Agoda etc) = travel
overseas restaurants = dining (not travel)
movie online shld be leisure

dont know about overseas car rental. good question.

If you book our car rental through agoda, expedia, zuji and even through airline websites, it is considered as travel.

Or overseas dining As long as the merchant code is dining, including cafes bar and restaurants within hotels.
