No one hooted this? Just ordered, collecting tmr, replacing my AirPods Gen 2!
It seems like not many interested in this. I am interested as I might not be suitable for TWS with silicon tips. Will caused itch in my ears. Interestingly, it's available for collection in all 3 stores! The thing holding me back is whether does it fit well or not.

Think you can try at the Apple stores.

Earlier on I walked past there during lunch, got a short queue and more people, mainly for AirPods 3 and the 14"/16" MBPs.
Today all out liao.. No slots. I called up Challenger and they got stocks for it.. Maybe take the risk and just buy it. 5 mins away from my home.

Challenger is fine, might as well get it from there and save the hassle.

Yes today is a busy day for Apple Stores.

Got it already.. It really feels more comfortable than Pro, volume at max is louder than Pro, base feels slightly stronger as well. Most importantly, it fits really good, not as if like going to fall out from my ears as compared to Airpods 2.

I also dont like the tips to poke my ear cananl, very pain and itch after 1 or 2 hour.
The Airpods 3 is now my BEST of all.

Nice comparison! For me I prefer earbuds with tips as they're more comfortable and isolate sound better. ANC is also a must.

The Pro suffers from hardware issues which causes static/crackling sounds in transparency mode over time of usage, hence the repair program which was recently extended for another year.

Basically now I'm just waiting for second gen Pro but that's approximately half a year away.

Ya, different people had different ears.. Mine always caused itch when wearing ear buds with tips. Tested so many brands like Apple, Samsung, Huawei.. All the same result except for AP2, Samsung Buds(Beans)... Now just nice AP3 function like APP but without silicon tips, can retire my APP liao.. Cannot wear for more than 10 mins else either side will start to itch and needs to take out and scratch my ears... :cautious:

Anyway, I never use ANC but only transparent mode. AP3 is not tight seal and surrounding still able to hear so it's suit me better.

True, if starts to itch better not wear, else will get infection which isn't fun. Guess I'm too used to earbuds with tips since my IEM days. šŸ˜…

Those with oily ear canal would definitely not fit the AirPods 3 as they’ll slide out pretty easily due to the smooth plastic housing.

For those who won’t mind waiting awhile for delivery, there is an online seller on Qoo10 selling for $249. GrabPay has a $30 Qmoney cash back event. If you have coupon to stack, can get another $10-$20 off. Not a bad deal.

Shopee has Apple official store listing for $269. The store has a 15% coin cash back coupon. Look under Electronics for a 12% coupon. Max about 4.5K ($45) coins back back. But remember to select free shipping. By default it’s a $12 shipping fee.

Both option can stack with ShopBack I believe. Sharing as I’m considering to buy. My AirPods 2 went for a swim recently and never woke up since.

Thinking hard whether to get this gen 3.

I was the 1st gen user and it had served me well then the right side depleted the battery charge on its own after the 1 year warranty was over.

Upgraded to the Pro and it wasn't as fiting as my gen 1. One side kept slipping off my ear during my runs despite I experimented with different bud sizes. I thought it was supposed to be more fitting due to the silicon buds but it didnt worked for me 😩.

So it seems like I have better experience without the buds and hence considering to get this gen 3. Any expereince on the fitting for those who upgrades from gen 1 to the new gen?
