What is the MagSafe port for? I hope it comes with a usbc cable for charging. I share the usbc charger with lots of stuff…. Weird to use a seperate cable for one device charging ….

MacBook Pro comes with USB C to MagSafe cable. You can still charge via USB C.

The notch is so unnecessary.

The direction that Apple is taking is interesting.

They extended the screen upwards to surround the camera housing and use that as the menu. So effectively, minus the menu, you are still getting back that 16:10.

Is the notch ugly~? Of course. But I must admit the center portion of the menu is of little uses. Unless the app got so many menu options.

Oh certainly not, it's jus a 1080p front camera. Remember current FaceID cannot be housed into such a thin screen.

But I prob won’t use it to save on extra cable. The usb c cable needs to support high power delivery if one is thinking of charging thru usbc.
I have the 2019 16inch. I personally like the usbc charging and touch bar… the most irritating thing is the heat generated… the thing is crazy hot when gpu get used.

if u like the touch bar like me and @Snoweagle M1 Macbook Pro is the way to go

Ehh, it's probably fine for those who want base models. But for someone like me who wants to BTO, it make take much longer

Which makes me believe that to get the best bang for buck, better get a "good enough" machine and replace as you go rather than go for the top-specs but get stuck with it for a longer time.
