I remembered was replaced Jan 19 till now about 8 months and dropped to 97%. So your case I think can still last one year.. even if drop rapidly.

Can anyone confirm, if the iPhone is covered by AppleCare+ (already more than 1 year, but bought AppleCare+ to cover it for the 2nd year), and the battery health is still more than 80% but less than 90%, will the battery replacement be free?

According to the screenshot and the link, it isn't clear as to whether there's additional criteria for the battery replacement to be free.

My battery now 86%. Next month warranty will end. This phone was a replacement phone in my 2nd month of use cos the first phone won’t power on. Wonder if I should go back ask them check the battery cos need the phone to last till 2020 new iPhone launch then can recontract.

Because you are under AppleCare+ and Apple will be obliged to change the battery for you. Heck, even if you change the whole phone, they’ll duly comply though you’ll be using up one of the accidental damage coverage.

Express replacement service allows you to swap the phone without going to the Apple store. All you need to do is to call in to Apple, request for express replacement service and they’ll send you a new set within days. After that, you’ll need to send back your current phone to them and that’s about it.

because according to this, it seems like it is only free if it is less than 80% unless this only refers to the express replacement.

Yes I’ve always done that so it’s a non-issue for me. Just telling you what you can achieve with AppleCare+. All for that matter, you can call up Apple and speak with them.

I think last year iPhone X under warranty can change battery even it’s >80% maximum capacity for free. Anyone tried requesting replacement for Xs/Xsmax/Xr? Free?
