I am not sure why you said Apple "Created the impression of undersupply"?Created the impression of undersupply
Some people queue 3 days in advance of launch day Nov 3
Hundreds of people camp overnight on 2 Nov
Thousands of people log in at 3pm on 3 Nov to buy and agreed
to get only 2-4 weeks later
BUT IT IS ALL A BLUFF
Apple Orchard releasing fresh stocks everyday
song bo.
PS I am apple user
Some of these "experts" talk thru their arse. Reminds me of those ppl saying book via Apple Store app, its faster. Fast ki lan!I am not sure why you said Apple "Created the impression of undersupply"?
From what I know, the impression of undersupply are all from analysts who claimed the got information from "a familiar source", like an anonymous vendor. Foxcom or Apple never officially declared the iPhone X stocks will be under constraints. On the other hands, Apple did try to reassure customers for multiple times not to worry about the supply issue:
On Oct 24th, in an interview with BuzzFeed, Tim Cook said below when being asked about the iPhone X supply:
"We'll be working as hard as possible to make as many as possible"
Again on Nov 2nd, just 1 day before the release, Tim Cook told this to the whole world during the quarterly report:
"The ramp for iPhone X is going well, especially considering it being the most advanced iPhone created. Really happy we’re able to increase week-by-week outputs. Going to get as many of them as possibleS to customers as soon possible."
Not sure what else would you expect from Apple to say? If you want to blame, blame those so called "analysts" who know nothing but act like they know everything happening inside Apple instead.

Apple Orchard could announce to queuers on night of 2Nov that they will have enough stocks on 3nov, 4nov, 5nov. By that time they would have all he numbers, wouldnt they?
But they purposely withheld the information and exploited that crowd as their marketing tool.

How could Apple know how many people want to buy to say firmly that they have stocks for everyone? If in morning Nov 3rd 10 thousand ppl join queue then how? Somemore, in the launch day, it was really oos after lunch time, so ppl who are late really could not get the iPhone they want. Also, the fact that Apple Store restock everyday is not a secret, their staff do tell any customer who asked them (e.g., me). And again restocking everyday doesnt mean they will have enough for everyone, it is purely about the unpredictable market demand.
From Apple’s position, with the uncertain market demand, saying that the output is good and they are trying to deliver iPhone X to as many ppl as possible and as soon as possible is the best thing they can say already.
You are wrong. Nobody know the stock level they are gonna receive until the morning when they go to work. Not even the store leader.
Small staffs of course don't know. Think again, how is it possible that nobody knows the inventory.
Lol guess you are still noob in terms of how Apple works. Store leader is the highest in charge in the store.
Like I mentioned, store leader will only know the stock level when he report for work on launch day. If you know you know.
Thanks, your argument further proves my point.
LOL For Apple store information, I may not know 100% of the stuff but I can safely assure you I know 99% of it
If you are still insistent in your info then good for you. I don’t have to prove to anyone. My history in Apple store news are for all to see.
The queue was already formed 12 hours before. Easily can do a headcount or give out number tags. So the rest of the queue could go home, but they didn't do that.
They could also tell the queue that they would have stocks on 4 Nov, 5Nov etc but they didn't do that. This further proves Apple is a big **, they purposely let them camp overnight there and let reporters take picture and videos for their marketing stunts.
They did that. They set up the queue poles and gave the queue number from Nov 2nd afternoon. Whoever has queue number can go out of the line for maximum 1 hour, longer than that and the queue will be forfeited. Because the stocks are redudant, they let customers to join the queue up to Nov 3rd morning, and stopped them after they foresee they will be out of stocks after serving all the queueing customers.
Precisely
They exploit queuers
By implementing max 1 hour break, the queue will STAY for reporters to take pictures
When actually they could have kindly "released" them to go back and sleep
