As long as you see the machine with the. "wave" logo, it should work .

I usually pay using VISA Paywave at NTUC.

I noticed that their terminals still do not have the Apple Pay logo.

However, I managed to make a purchase via Apple Pay today.
It also works with Paypass terminal. Tried at Watson yesterday and it works too. NTUC self check out Kiosk terminal also work, the terminal is a bit different from those with Paywave or Paypass

tell them applepay .... but if they dont know what that means, tell them paywave, its the same terminal and I suspect the cashier will use the same setting for payway/applepay. Did it at ntuc yesterday and she understood paywave but not apple pay.

say paywave better... but it might take 6 months to a year for people working behind the cashiers to know that Apple pay & paywave use the same terminal.

From my expeiences, need fingerprint when u tap, not sure if this can be switched on/off

If you add and use your wife's card to your phone, you can use your fingerprint, no need your wife fingerprint

I am also using my wife's phone to put all my cards in, at first need her fingerprint, but end up i also added my fingerprint in her iphone to make it more convenient cos i can transact also

Thanks. Still a bit confused. When I add in the card to Apple Pay, they didn't ask me for finger print.

When I use need finger print for 1st time only?

Depends on the iphone version, older one need tonpress password newer one use thumb print. Whenever u are about to tap, you will need to use your thumbprint to open up the near field detector this is a security feature.

Mine is a iPhone 6plus. When I add in the card to Apple pay, no need to set finger print right? Only when using it than need?

When you are adding the card to wallet, your phone is already unlocked why bother to ask for fingerprint again?

I was at sheng siong earlier and they have the apple logo stuck to the reader. But if not, just call it paywave or paypass and should do the trick. Paywave for visa and paypass for MasterCard. All use the same reader and as far as the cashier is concerned, they press the same button to activate the reader.

I was using the self pay machine at sheng siong and the reader was hidden behind so using my thumb on the home button and the phone flush to the reader was hard to achieve.

But I noticed something. When the phone is near the reader, the Apple Pay screen get activated on the phone, I just need to do the fingerprint id to unlock Apple Pay. Then just touch the phone against the reader. No need to keep doing the fingerprint thing once it is unlocked.

Will confirm with the next purchase.

Question - does the Applepay on your iphone work if you have a case on the phone?

I tried at NTUC yesterday - doesn't work so I used my watch instead.....

Choose credit card option (for the new terminal). You can just put your phone over the red terminal. This terminal can also be used to swipe/tap/insert credit card.
