Whats the transaction limit? 100?

The default limit should be S$100. Some places require a signature if the value is above S$100 (e.g. Post Office). I understand that the S$100 cap at Coffee Bean and some other places have been removed for UOB Cards via Apple Pay as well.

Question - does the Applepay on your iphone work if you have a case on the phone?

I tried at NTUC yesterday - doesn't work so I used my watch instead.....

Yes it did work with my iphone with a case. Need to tap the entire phone with the reader.

huh apple pay also limit to 100 only ?

It's an extension of the Paywave or Paypass payment method which has that limit. Like UOB did raise the limits for some retailers.

I guess now it is testing the waters and maybe next time they will let you raise the limits.

The good thing is transaction directly show up under the digital card, no need to wait for posting, and no need to key in password to login to check transactions as prepaid account does.

I was at sheng siong earlier and they have the apple logo stuck to the reader. But if not, just call it paywave or paypass and should do the trick. Paywave for visa and paypass for MasterCard. All use the same reader and as far as the cashier is concerned, they press the same button to activate the reader.

I was using the self pay machine at sheng siong and the reader was hidden behind so using my thumb on the home button and the phone flush to the reader was hard to achieve.

But I noticed something. When the phone is near the reader, the Apple Pay screen get activated on the phone, I just need to do the fingerprint id to unlock Apple Pay. Then just touch the phone against the reader. No need to keep doing the fingerprint thing once it is unlocked.

Will confirm with the next purchase.

Yes! Your observation is correct

if the aunties & uncles don't understand Apple Pay, just tell them Paywave or whichever that activates the contactless terminal. Apple Pay uses the same contactless reader.

do we use the iphone or the cc to tap the contactless terminal?

Just hoot $50 sheng Siong voucher using posb everyday via Apple Pay. 25% rebate!

I notice when your phone screen is off, just double click on the home button and the Apple Pay screen will load and read your fingerprint immediately. No need to even unlock your phone. Very convenient!

When your phone screen is off, just place the phone near to the terminal and it'll auto light up with the wallet screen up and running

It shows up on your phone but it doesnt show up immediately on the bank's system. I called UOB to check on a transaction and they said it may take 1-2 2days for them to see it
