Previously, the paid developer account cert could sign an app to sideload, with a validity of 12 months. The free dev account could sign with a validity of 90 days.

Once the signed app expires, the app will no longer launch on the ATV. You need to connect back to a Mac with XCode and re-sign the app with the cert again. Every 3 months, I could live with that.

However, a few weeks ago Apple changed this. Free dev accounts can only sign apps with a validity of 7 days now. So, when you re-sign the app in future ... you need to repeat this again and again every week.

Too much hassle for me.

Mines a free dev acc. And the Kodi side load is lasted me for more than a week already, Pheew. It's 90 days ran out bout 10days ago thus had to redo again.

Considering I'm using Kodi mainly for its addons (eg, Exodus) streaming.

Any other alternative app that can link to such addons?

Is there Kodi for tv OS? Or need to use developer account to add?

Installing Kodi on tvOS will require some level of reading to know how to install. Given you couldn't read the last two pages in the thread to get the answer to your question, best you forget it.

Buy either MrMC or Infuse on the tvOS app store and go from there.

I have installed Kodi on TV OS before. What I want to know is whether there is a less tedious solution. So MrMc and Infuse can add video add on like Edoxus and SALTS?

Very odd. Upgraded my account to the paid developer version.
The KODI app still goes off after 7 days.

What could i have missed out? Already side loaded using the new account provisioning ... likewise the ATV iTunes and App store account is the same as the developer ID
