pros
can work on iphone, ipad and apple TV
game is awesome... puzzle is fun and logical
graphics is beautiful
got help book if you are stuck too
still stucked, got yourube walk through.

cons
saved data cannot be ported across platform.
too short
its much easier to play on the iphone as you need to tap on different places
some stage, you need to tap rhythmically across several places... which it is impossible to do it via the Apple TV remote.
help book is too small to read in detail on iphone though... (but you don't need to read in detail most of the time)

Plex is not a streaming service like Netflix, Hulu, etc.

It's an app to browse your Movies/TV Shows Library on your Mac/PC/NAS, etc. You need to have Plex Media Server installed on your computer.

Its a client for Plex so you need to install Plex Media Server in your NAS.


Anyway, Plex if not wrong available in tvOS app store now, though I haven't physically check before now working. But I received the news from Plex that it is now available. Anyone can confirm?

I've tried it, the Plex UI is really nice and my movies play seamlessly on the Apple TV. However the subtitles (srt files) not showing even though I've activated in the in app settings. Maybe there's a bug.

I think both the Simple X and Plex unable to read SRT files unless the subtitles are hardcoded.


For Simple X, it just hanged there.

The Plex app is able to detect the srt file in the in app settings before playing the movie. However, after I have selected the srt file, the movie just plays without the subtitles.

Infuse is superior to Plex and any other transcoding app. It's native playing and no media server is needed. It handles subtitle *.srt very well.

Plex uses too much CPU power for transcoding.

I also noticed Plex can fetched the wrong Cover Art. Infuse handles Cover Art much much better than Plex.

I'm not against Plex, just my observations.

I used plex currently and I would say it's good.

I do have infuse too and I like it a lot. It's amazing. Once infuse is out I will remove my plex server.

Interestingly, Apple TV price in Malaysia is quite close to Singapore price. I thought usually Malaysia is much cheaper

Apple usually adjust their prices to cater for exchange rate.

Not possible. You need to do it on the router end. If you using astrill there's an app for it I remember.

320 if no "L" will not work. Google it. Suggest you wait for infuse and do a samba server. Easier.

I'm using Merlin firmware on my asus router. Set up vpn using openvpn client with ca cert.

But worth it.
