Hi renfred89 and PetPet,

There is a one-time activation fee of $10.70 that allows provisioning of eSIM on the Apple Watch.

A re-activation fee is applicable for the provisioning of new eSIM in the event that you lose, replace or damage your Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS+Cellular).

If a restore has been made on the Apple Watch which has already been activated before for NumberShare, does the re-activation fee applies when setting up (fresh install) using the same Apple Watch for cellular?

no re-activation fee so long its the same watch. you can restore hundred times and its still $10.70.

However if you change to a new apple watch 3 LTE, or newer models in the future, then activation fee charges as per normal.

eSIM itself doesn't change when you restore the same watch, and each individual apple watch 3 LTE will have an unique eSIM number..

Thanks for the info on the unique eSIM number! :D

really ar?

cuz iirc, i saw a thread at macrumors indicated that they are being charged each time if they restore the watch, etc.

edit: found the web.
https://www.macrumors.com/2017/12/18/apple-watch-series-3-fees-reactivation/

not sure whether it is applicable to us or not.

yeah, but i say is not accurate one, is based on the FAQ.

let singtel come in to explain will be the final answer you guys take ok? :D

Also, the website you quoted mentioned about activation and de-activation. for doing that i'm sure singtel will also charge.

However, if you plan to restore your watch, that is not considered a de-activation of service leh.. If singtel viewed this as de-activation, then hmm...

Hi tec_geek and VodkaPear,

Restoring the device will not incur the re-activation fee.

Hope this clarifies.

Hello, thanks for your prompt reply.

Can help to answer the below questions?

1) I just checked my mobile plan, here's the description:

(NEW) Lite Subscription (12GB) & 550 SMS

Question: So can I assume I am eligible for NumberShare with the above?

2) Whatsapp Messages / Voice Call / Video Call

Question: Can I send/receive whatsapp messages using your Apple Watch 3?

Can I make voice or video calls as well?

Note: Please please... I need my Whatsapp to work on my new AW.

3) Does subscribing to NumberShare resulted in any change to my current mobile plan?

Note: I definitely want to stay with my current plan "(NEW) Lite Subscription (12GB) & 550 SMS". I have no intention to change or upgrade at all.

Please help to answer above questions. I need AW3 badly to monitor my heart rate and workouts... Foresee that I will use it alot alot.
Hi keithster,

NumberShare is available as an add-on service for all Singtel Postpaid Mobile customers who have subscribed to a Combo Mobile Plan, SIM Only Plan or MobileShare Supplementary Plan with 4G ClearVoice. NumberShare can only be activated on Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS+Cellular) and newer models.

EasyMobile, Prepaid and Multi-SIM customers are not eligible for a NumberShare subscription.

Number 2 has already been answered even before the existence of LTE version is know.

How do you do video call on AW?

Hi keithster,

(1) Your mobile plan is not eligible for NumberShare.

(2) TBC for WhatsApp. Video calls are not possible on the Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular).

(3) Since your mobile plan is not eligible for NumberShare, you have to upgrade your mobile plan to Combo Mobile Plan or SIM Only Plan with 4G ClearVoice.

For those going Japan, don't buy from Yodabashi (which I regretted)

After doing my bills, I realized Yodabashi marked up the non-tax price of Apple Watch and pretend to give you a 5% discount for payment by VISA credit card. Case in point is my Apple Watch Series 3 Space Black Stainless Steel Case with Space Black Milanese Loop. Yodabashi is selling it for 84,800 (excluding tax) whereas the actual price excluding tax is 79,800 from Apple Store.

84,800 less 5% is 80,560. Differences ¥760 still ok ba, but I’m curious about ur CC rates and any admin charges?

Imagine those bought with cash at 84,800, differences approx SGD $60 sia....

And some places charge admin fees for Tax rebate.
