I paid the one-time payment for this app too. But I use it for a different function. :ROFLMAO:

I log in my work phone WA account on my watchchat app, so I don't need to bring my work phone out shopping/on vacay. Any work emergencies I can access/reply msgs via the app remotely.

(Edit: I tried with turning off cellular/wifi on my work phone & the watchchat app on my AW still works ❤️)

10/10 worth it. Will continue to monitor it's reliability. :D
I use WatchChat 2 free version. If I turn off cellular/wifi on my iPhone, the WatchChat app no longer receives WhatsApp messages. Also, cannot send out WhatsApp messages.

So, the paid version works but the free version does not?

Can't find the answer anywhere else. Can any existing users enlighten me?

Can i use esim from singtel for apple watch cellular, and have another line from my iphone eg starhub, and set it such that when my iPhone is unanswered, it will divert the call to my apple watch esim? In this case I do not have to subscribe numbershare?

Info on apple watch cellular are very limited.
Hope anyone can help answer my enquiries before I proceed to get one, mainly for my kid use.

1. Can we use WhatsApp call from watch? My son does not carry a phone. So this watch is intended i be a watch with cellular capabilities.

2. It seems the cheaper esim provider like vivifi, eight etc does not support apple watch?

3. I saw mention about numbershare. Even from telco portal I had a hard time trying to comprehend what it does. Is this same number as main line linked to main phone plan that's all?

4. Lowest phone plan option for cellular apple watch on a standalone number?

because it's a diff kind of "esim" it's more like numbershare.

only the main 3 supports if I remember correctly.

yes. it's more like a "rider" (in insurance speak)

Hey thanks for responding to my questions. Hmm it seems not really that suitable as a kids watch. 🤔 I was aiming for the SE model initially.

Gomo do not support Apple Watch eSim

Likely no support for non-3 main telco like SingTel, M1 and StarHub

When changing of old Apple Watch with numbershare to a new Apple Watch, M1 requires termination of the numbershare on the old Apple Watch and resubscribe for the new Apple Watch. The resubcription means need to pay a one time $38 SIM activation fee.
For Singtel and SH, is this resubcription process the same when changing to a new Apple Watch?

Nope. Recently I changed to the Ultra 2 from Ultra 1. During unpairing of the Ultra 1, I selected 'remove plan' so that it no longer registers to the Ultra 1. During the pairing process, it asks me whether I want to transfer the mobile data to the new watch and it automatically registers, no need to unsubscribe and re-subscribe.
