Thanks much for the video. Even Apple go to this extend to hide the real truth! I nearly ordered the Ss and al with cellular. Thank goodness I hesitated because I reluctant to switch to singtel and pay penalty as still have 8 months contract on StarHub.

No prob, the video was from another user. I thought I was the only one feeling this way. I tried to go to supermarket without my phone thinking all the messages would be relayed to my watch, I was so wrong. The things that work without my phone worth noting is Apple Music and calls, haven't tried iMessage.

I tested going out without my phone, calls still comes in. I had not yet to test other functions but calls coming in is somehow important to me.. Phone was charging at home and I went off to Sheng Siong to buy groceries, make payment using Apple Pay.

Hopefully my gold SS due for 18-25 Oct will come by 7 Oct then!

Latest update, my 44mm SS with white sport band has been shipped! Will deliver by 4th October. This is very fast already as initial delivery date is between 15-22 Oct.

But my wife's 40mm gold aluminium with pink sport band ordered at the same time still no movement, money also not deducted yet.

Calls can. I received calls on my S3 LTE without my phone. I went out without my phone many times liao.. FYI.

Yes, I've used it recently. It works.

As for Apple Pay only, you do not need the NumberShare at all.

The stored card info on the Apple Watch is only used to send the information to the merchant. The actual communication only happens between the merchant and the banks.

WhatsApp yes but I never try replying. I already returned my series 3 cos wanna to get series 4. Once I got series 4 then I will try again.

Yes can reply. Whatsapp doesnt hv a watch app so you cant initiate a conversation, but if someone sends you, can reply.

WhatsApp officially not supported. You don't get the WhatsApp icon in the AW. Unlike other apps like Kakaotalk, you get the Kakaotalk icon.

I am using the non cellular model.

My iPhone is with me.
If you mute your WhatsApp chat with someone or mute it if you are in a chat group , notification won't appear on your AW.

You do not mute your chat:
If you are using your iPhone, browsing, you won't get notifications.
If you put the iPhone in sleep mode. You'll get notifications on your AW.

After you reply the message, you can't browse through it anymore because there is no actual WhatsApp apps in AW.

One more issue with whatsapp...
When someone is calling u in whatsapp it will not appear in your watch... since not supported...
