I'm still considering whether to get series 2 to replace my first gen one as I really like the GPS function. But some said the GPS feature is mainly for workouts/runs and will turn off if your iPhone is with u or connected.

The main thing is that when I'm overseas, I wish to use the GPS in the watch to check local weather and location via a third-party weather app without having to connect to my iPhone. Is it able to do just that?

I think u still need internet access to get weather report rather than gps alone?

Those who want suggest u just place an online order while you search the Apple retailers. The 3-5 week wait time is almost surely to be pulled in

Can we still cancel the online order if it has already been charged but not shipped?

Was surprised to receive the email yesterday that my AW has shipped. Ordered on launch day with an original shipping date of 05/10 - 18/10, it's arriving this thursday.
