My iPhone 11PM I never get AC+
iPhone 12PM I got from Carousell with very high and positive reviews seller and got scammed (AC+ Voided)
iPhone 13PM I got from Apple directly and iPhone 14PM I decided not to get.

AC+ makes no differences if you selling to shop cos they don't need AC+ and if your is exchanged/refurbished set, price will drop.
It's only got for those buyer looking to upgrade older model with a budget and get it cheaper than a new set and at the same time with 1 year accidentally coverage instead of new set at higher price and normal coverage.
AC+ makes a diff when and if you have accidental damage

It's like insurance, once something happens, you will be thankful you have bought. It saved me $ from an expensive screen replacement

wanna ask if anyone is familar with AppleCare in Japan?

During my travels there 2 weeks ago, I bought an SE (3rd gen, 5G). The shop say it's "new" but I know it's those activated during telco purchase then sell as "never use".

anyway, the original seller apparently bought some kidn of plan cos the phone is covered by "AppleCare services" until 16th Mar, 2030. that's... 7 years from date of purchase. I couldn't find any details online, and Apple support chat all outsource to India so they are as clueless as my mother.

this is what I see in the checkcoverage website:

The warranty period shown in your phone also showing 2030?

Can call Apple Support tomorrow morning, if you want. Office hours?

Thanks for the info. Do they do the same thing for other Apple products (Mac, iPads, AirPods...) ?

if I dropped the phone into water or scratched the phone, I can ask for a brand new replacement? I saw somebody mentioned service fee. How much is it?

Does anybody realised 14 PM battery life is not good?

Wow for accidental damage, it costs about $500 with AC+
? Accidental damage with AC+ is $148, where got $500??

Enjoy two years of peace of mind when you buy AppleCare+ for iPhone.

Every iPhone comes with one year of hardware repair coverage through its limited warranty and up to 90 days of complimentary technical support. AppleCare+ for iPhone extends your coverage to two years from your AppleCare+ purchase date1 and adds unlimited incidents of accidental damage protection. Each incident is subject to a service fee of S$42 for screen or back glass damage, or S$148 for other accidental damage.2 In addition, you’ll get 24/7 priority access to Apple experts by chat or phone through getsupport.apple.com.

Inclusive of apple care +
I see. However the total amount for AC+ plus accidental damage which are ~$500 are still much cheaper than without AC+.

Example for iPhone 14 pro max. Accidental damage (other damage), Apple charges $1058.80 to repair if without AC+. With AC+, it cost $148.

If u factor in the upfront AC+ purchase which are already paid for, it will be like u mentioned~$500, which is half the price of without AC+.
