I don't know about EPP, but I've been getting AC+ for my HK sets since iPhone XS Max. Just do it from home, then contact them if you encounter any problem. They'll solve for you and give you the means to proceed.

HK sets not an issue to get AC+.

That's good to know. Thanks!

Doesn't matter where your iphone is from. As long as it fulfills apple condition, you can buy AC/AC+.

No. AC+ for iPhone is always +2 years, and now from of purchase of AC+
Technically if you buy from Apple it's 1+1 year. Szeil is not wrong to say AC+ is +1 more year on the default warranty.

Not true. Even if you buy from apple, it is 2 years from point of purchase. So if you buy from apple on day 59, it is 2 years from day 59.

Apple care+ is 2 yrs we know. It's how one tends to see how it work out.

If you buy iphone today and buy AC+ together. It's as good as 1+1 warranty, total 2 yrs.

If you buy iphone today and buy AC+ 59 days later, to some it's as good as extra 1 yr warranty anyway also add up 2 yrs.

If you buy 365 on the 300+ days, its as good as having another 2 more yrs of warranty.

EOD, we all know... AC+ is 2 yrs. It's how you look at it.

Is that why people buy close to 365 days after purchase day to get 3 years warranty?

but that's also risky. cause if there's accidental damage to the phone during the first 365 days, it wouldn't be covered, just because one wishes to extend the effective warranty period which might not be extended at all cause of the damage

reason being. u can improve your resale value when u sell to people.

2nd thing is, phones usually have a tendency to fail after 2yrs (YMMV).. so those people who don't really want to change phone every 2yrs.. this 1+2yrs AC+ might benefit them.

Just bought the AC+ for iPhone 14 PM at the Apple Store via EPP 10% discount. The 2 years counts/starts from the day you gotten the AC+.

Purchasing was a breeze. Show them the serial number, the company (if never bring badge just show that you can create a new email with your work account) and make payment. Once done, that’s it and received the AC+ policy number within hours.

Sold my 12pro to a carousell buyer. With 3 mths of ac+ left.
She went to Apple Store for a swop due to mild crack on screen and rough up rim of the chassis due to drop damage.
The genius told her apple stopped 1-1 swop for 2 years already is that true? Anyone any idea?

don’t tell me have to whack the back glass then go in again then can pay $148 for total replacement ?

or worse they only change the affected parts now? Like back glass broke, lcd cracked change only those leaving battery same as the one we sent in?

Can call for express replacement. Means they charge you full price first and send a refurbished set then you send the spoil one back to them. after that they received your spoilt set they will return you money minus the applecare repair fees.

But technically refurbished sets will have lesser resale value due to it carrying a unique serial number right? Unless you sell to someone who don't care / don't know how to check :ROFLMAO:

Anyway good info to know. Thanks! :D

Actually I beg to differ. If I’m buyer and a sensible one. I prefer any newer sets or freshly refurbished set from apple anyday than a used 20 months old set from first owner that tallies to the original box

Few key points as follows:
- condition guarantee to be like new,
- fresh 100% battery to last me longer usage,
- not to mention it’s definitely authentic apple parts then any sellers’ might have replaced with 3rd party part during their course of usage.

Serial numbers are just for record purposes to track warranty. I’m buying a used phone, 12-20months old by previous owner is used, refurbished also used but certified by apple at the point of issuance. The latter has way way more absolute confidence for me.
I mean the justifications above should or make refurbished phones from apple higher value then just normal used phone

It would be more sensible for personal use.

If I were to consider a used iPhone 12, I already have the mindset that I am paying said amount for eg. a 20 months old iphone 12. Unless the price your 1 month old refurbished set is close to the 20 month old set, I won't even consider it since my mind & wallet is not ready to match your price.

I don't know the specifics, but say your 1 month old refurbished iphone 12 is similar priced with a 6-8 months old iphone 13. I will gladly take the 13 tbh.
