I just got an email from apple that my existing applecare+ will auto "upgrade" to the unlimited accident repairs. so it means your existing devices will get it even though you bought it before the new feature of the applecare+ .
I got the email as well.

Also, I think for some that has corporate discounts with Apple, may also try getting AC+ at the Apple Store too.

I did gotten the AC+ for my iPad and hope that it works the same for the iPhone
thing is i asked Apple SG @ MBS, the staff told me AC+ only within first 90 days, so must go A Lab or QCD if it’s after that period

What you refer to is QCD Apple care+ 365. Bascially you can purchase this any time within the first one yr of your iphone purchase.

Then you can bring down to either QCD or Apple store for repairs.

kinda out of touch with AC+
but the one buy from Alab sure got my attention … until no refund bit confirmed 🤣
(coz it’s tied to specific phone. i was thinking if can transfer … buy, get ip13 changed to refurbished set, sell off, transfer ac+ to ip14 🤣 )

what about AC+ from apple store …
must get within 60/90 days after phone purchase …
can transfer onto new phone next year, or cannot, and cannot refund as well ?

TIA

you can do that but i doubt it’s worth the effort

best is to understand that this is for 2 years, so if you intend to use it for 2 years from now then proceed

anyway in terms of hardware and software the phone will be able to last for sure, it’s just the user, lol later see new phone can’t change then wasted

I didnt know this but both QCD and Alabs offer AC+ 365. I always thought its a QCD only thing. :s13:

If you buy AC+ from Apple, you have 60 days to do so. Apple will refund you in case you need to change phone. I do not think it can be transfer. If you buy for 15 next yr, Apple will refund you the remaining AC+ for 14 and you need to purchase a new one for 15. Correct me if im wrong.

thanks guys

change phones every year … so QCD & ALab AC+ useful if i know kiddo is going to be using the hand me down 13 pro max for next 2 years …

looks like the one from Apple direct is more relevant … if say no questions asked to get set exchanged to refurbished etc
i still remember how hard it was to get an exchange from ST Comcentre last time … and also Apple (12 pro max … i didn’t have AC+ though) but the phone just blanked off coz running hot whilst i was out running and taking photos lol
luckily i got a CSO from a cantonese speaking region (i don’t want to be direct lol) who hinted if there was any other issues with the phone other than what i’d brought it in for (which their diagnostic tests failed to verify my issue)
then i got the drift and said ya … he infact now i recall the phone blah3 … and got an immediate 1-1 exchange 🤣

Yea if I’m not wrong that’s the same info that I’ve gotten via Apple direct.

Able to refund but prorated. So for the next iPhone, is use the prorated refunded amount + top up $$ to make up for a new AC+ tied to the new iPhone.

The new AC+ can be bought within a year from the purchased date. That’s what the Apple Store staff told me. AC+ starts on purchase date.
