thanks for the advice. so the process to buy after 60 days is to walk into a store and make the request?
Yes, they have to review it physically and deem it suitable to still purchase AppleCare+.
Thus, the risk of rejection after 60 days of purchase. As always, if its human reviewed, its dependent on the employee discretion.

So it will be very strict? Minor scratches on screen or body will be rejected?

By right it should be rejected, similar to how insurance works, if you have pre-existing conditions, they will reject coverage.
Thus, it depends on the Apple staff discretion whether to accept at all and whether system allows IIRC.
Definition of minor is also subjective to each individual too.

Yes, anything after 60 days and before warranty ends, they need to inspect the phone physically before you are allowed to buy Apple care.

Sadly, the person who can answer your question is already banned. But IIRC, he said if there is a need to replace your HK iphone here, they will ship the phone over from HK and will take anywhere from 2-4 days. Best to check with Apple themselves.

During my iphone 11 days, i had mine shipped from HK. had to wait a couple of days before the replacement came. Has to be done at the Apple Store. I am not sure now if this is still the case.

Hope this helps.

For Singapore units, usually you can get it fixed within 2-3 hours if there is spare parts, I somewhat regret not fixing and changing new unit. Because if I sell my unit, those lowballers will say serial number different and want to low ball me. Repair don’t have this problem
