my cousin broke it into half ( in theory on purpose , smash e iphone 13 pro max liertally on floor hard - his battery life was 82% then , during last mth of apple care plus ) - changed battery 99 dollar , might as well pay 148? for a new iphone everything changed ( refurbished )

simple maths - its stupid to pay 99 for a battery change during end of apple care , might we all pay 148 get in theory for a new iphone - battery also new and screen too )

i feel pretty dumb apple care plus users still pay money to chnage battery when or when screen crack a bit, migth as well full dmaage or whaever claim the 148 )

Afterall - already paid premium for 300 plus for apple care plus might as well fully maximize

bcoz after 148 claim liao a so call new iphone at end of apple care plus ( even if its one day before expiry ) - u techncially have resale value or u use again another 2 years hehe

u just simply say u drop lo - of coz try not to do it in front of them lol

“Accidentally” murder the phone, like that must have a workable spare phone to tahan until a refurb unit is provided.

Would the service center be able to give the refurb phone on the spot or is subject to stock availability for that specific model which got murdered?

yup i am quite sure they can give u a an indentical iphone time being

- when my iphone was under repair under apple care - they provide me a temporay iphone - should it take more than 2 business day ( then afterwhich i will come down to swop for the new one when it arrvied )
OR
they also give u the option to get a new iphone if u die die wan get immediately on the spot - not refurbished ( charge to u credit card at rrp ) but will refund u back once they certified phone is damaged

but this above option are from APPLE orchard or MBS

i am not too sure for QCD or Alabs ( but u can call in to check )

The loan set phone they will call u upon arriving when the new refurbished set is ready
By right with Apple care plus should be on the same day
Some popular set or previous year flagship - from they told me they need to ship from HK or no available set with that colour at the moment

but within 14 days yes , normally within a week u new exchanged phone shld be ready

Just bought my Apple care+ for my 15PM. Left 27 days so the guy just take a look at my phone and all is good. In and out less than 10 mins. Price with EPP is affordable now so over 2 yrs is just like a MacDonald meal for month.

AC+ can be purchased at Apple Store after 60 days but you need to pass device physical inspection and Apple’s diagnostic interface. Not sure what’s their internal name for the process, but asking for “AC+ screening after 60 days of purchase”, reps will understand.

If its a local device, the rep can take payment in-store. If device is from another region rep will then submit a ticket up to their AC+ or agreements support team (backend) to get your device to pop up the AC+ purchase page (same as the 60 day purchase page). If there’s some form of glitching, with the purchase link not showing up you can call Apple Support, they will manually generate an email to receive payment for the pending AC+ agreement.

Pretty sure the version at authorized repair centers ALAB and QCD is exactly the same except for reseller discount; if it grants an AC+ agreement it should be international warranty coverage as well.

It is just the standard local electronics distributor disingenuous language to claim “local distributor warranty”, “Singapore only” trying to say you only can get support if you buy from nobody else but us.

Pretty sure our resident Apple South Asia pte ltd spy can confirm at least for the Apple Store part of this comment.

Also, AC+ agreement date starts from *that* purchase date + 2 years. Meaning it is technically possible to go on standard 1 year warranty -1 day + 2 year AC+ stacked giving you 3 years of HW coverage in total in the iPhone if you are a relic keeper instead of annual upgrader as long as you can stay away from Customer Induced Damage on Y1.

After 60 days still call "Apple care+". They will check and inform you it's over 60 days so you need to send in for them to do a diagnosis before you can buy the apple care+.

that’s nice. I did not know that. I almost wanted to get together with the phone when buying from Shopee because it offers a discount for the Apple care+ as add-on deal. So now I can wait till end of the year then buy for two more years of extension.

But you must also realise that AppleCare+ doesn’t only extend warranty, but also provide accidental damage protection that normal warranty doesn’t provide.

so if any accident happen during the one year of free warranty without AppleCare+ you wouldn’t be covered for accidental damage repair
