Guys,

Was quoted $108 for Express Replacement for cracked screen.

Is it normal practice? Even got AppleCare+ and still need to pay?

AppleCare+ covers more than just screen scracks. Covers accidental damage as well. Basically anything to the phone, as long as you can bring it back to AASP or Apple.

If you drop your phone into water
See whether it still cost $110 :)

Anyway, AppleCare+ extends warranty to 2 years. Good for those on 2 years recontract plan

Please read their latest policy....
Don't aim here and there..

AppleCare+ for iPhone extends your coverage to two years from the original purchase date of your iPhone1 and adds up to two incidents of accidental damage coverage, each subject to a service fee of S$42 for screen damage or S$148 for any other damage.

No. It depends on his iPhone model

His should be iPhone 6

So the latest T&C doesn't apply to him

If got malfunctions of device not caused by user damage, there will not be a fee.

Usually, iPhone with APP+ that has crack screen, they will just replace the entire device. No worries.

Sorry, i think i get you wrongly.

If your iPhone's screen shattered + other issues and you have APP+, you will need pay A.Lab/QCD some small amount of service fee. They most likely will do an 1-1 replacement.

However, if your iPhone vibrator/camera; etc is faulty and you have APP+, of course you will be covered with APP+ and no need to pay any single amount. But A.Lab/QCD will send it back to the Apple Repair Centre (somewhere in the East side) to repair. This will normally takes 3-5 working days.

In conclusion, I'd recommend you to request for ERS if your iPhone has minor hardware issue. They will do an 1-1 exchange instead of repairing. Of course they will hold some charges to your Debit/Credit Card.

I hope my explaination could clarify your doubts.

Cheers.
