The Paywave kind of convenient, with better security? When Paywave was just launched, my 1st question was, what if I lost the card, someone picked up and use it for Paywave? At least with ApplePay, need your finger print to pass through.

Paywave max $100 per txn but well... not as if the traditional signature was of any better security. I believe apple pay is also cap at $100 since it uses the same paywave machine?

I think with Apple there is no cap. Someone try!

I too dont appreciate the benefit of using this. To reduce the number of cards in your wallet?

Somehow I am forced to set fingerprint/passcode for the entire phone. I'm not ready to change my phone usage pattern.

Why can't they just set the security feature only when I open Apple Wallet App huh, or is it something that I can adjust in settings?

another big benefit - Apple Pay is much safer than using your credit card.

this may not appeal to ppl in SG, but in the U.S. or China, where credit card fraudulent is happening all the time. it could help a lot if customers don't have to show anyone physical card and no real card number appears on the receipt.

Cannot find details on this on merchantS accepting apply pay .
Any lists to refer to ? or basically just pass the hp to the counter ?

Currently Apple Pay is accepted at Ding Tai Feng, Ntuc, G2000, Shaw Cinemas, Starbucks, Starhub, Topman/Topshop and Uniqlo. Actually I thought that as long as the terminal has Visa PayWave you should be able to use it!

Well with Apple Pay, you don't need to have your physical credit card with you and you still can make payment with your phone or apple watch.

If you have the Apple Watch, you don't even need a phone to make payment. So imagine going running with just your Apple Watch and you can even buy a drink from 7-11 mid-run!

having 10 different credit cards can significantly increase the thickness of the wallet.

someone said that you would be able to use it anywhere that accept AMEX and contactless payment at this moment. It is just that those shops are not officially supported.

So will Apple Pay be capped at $100 per txn as well as per visa paywavE limitations?

I even realised when I accidentally held my iPhone near the EZLINK reader on the train stations, my Apple Pay app lights up from my iPhone and asks for my fingerprint.

Seems like actually, ez link readers can technically support ApplePay too?? Doubt they'll do that though, cannibalising their ez link payment system.

They are all using nfc technology. Fyi now can use phone with nfc sim card to take mrt, no need ezlink/flashpay card.
