Is this a SoftBank keitai, prev I have the sh-09d from docomo which was very slow n battery drains quickly. I think jap phones usually have a lot of bloatware n cannot do software upgrades out of japan which can b a pain

this is from softbank. This on e is quite snappy. So far no issues. It did auto shut down once.
Bloatware for this is not many.
Upgrades I just go back to benny and ask him do it lol.

Sounds good, I got burned from the prev keitai so a little hesitant but I always liked sharps hp design. Y didn't get the 304sh? Btw, did it have prob acquiring GPS ? I remembered my prev aquos phone couldn't acquire gps. Also SMS seems to have limit

This is 304sh bro. Gps was okay let.
Paisley thought was the mini, me bad. So why choose this over the sh-04f. The sh-04f seems to have better specs plus battery n both prices seems to b similar

the truth? I like the look of the 304sh better :)

Haha, do you get to compare the actual phones before buying? Hard to tell from pictures Leh. Btw, do you have a custom rom on it as I saw the star wars theme. Is there a choice to use the standard android theme since I don't really like the feel ux

I've seen the SH04f before so it was easy to decide. I am using Nova launcher. No issues

Pls do a review on the phone if possible? Peektures also
Btw, is the front camera located at the bottom instead of top?

Finally took the plunge to get a 304sh, I am very impressed with the battery life and speed. No hanging like the previous docomo sh-09d and battery life is soooooo much better ;). This could be a keeper, all I need now is a matt screen protector And better case

hi, thanks for advise.
is there any running apps that use assisted GPS so that i can use it to track distance and route?
i dont quite understand as google maps do show my correct location, yet to try navigation though....
if i remember docomo phones did not have this problem....first time try softbank unlocked phone so blurblur....

Yah same with me here. Docomo ones are unlocked so they can use GPS though slower to acquire the satellite. Your Google maps works because it is using mobile data to determine the location. If the app uses satellute only then it will not work. Try looking for a running app that uses mobile data to ascertaiin position. The problem is for moving objects to have good telemetry data, you have to use GPS satellite.

Softbank phones are not officially unlocked hence I think no GPS is possible. This is my deduction only based on experimentation n Internet :0

japanese phones in general you're buying the phone for what it is at that moment, so don't expect android L or what not

I think should have upgrade to android 4.4.4 at least . Not sure Abt androidL but maybe. Yah jap phones are for their unique designs like large screen yet small size n Igzo screen for the case of the 304sh. In the world of the very common iphone n Samsung , you can stand out with a unique jap keitai

I think softbank ones still can update sw locally by bringing it back to the seller n they upgrade for u
