At the rate the trade war is escalating, Singapore's trade and air hub will be badly hit.

I'm curious of what bargaining chips China has on the table. Something that will make Trump anxious. Hahahaha....

Probably not many with current situation.
After this event, we will start to know how many parts in Huawei phone is actually Huawei!

Like that means in future we may not see any Huawei phones

Even ARM is cutting ties with Huawei. Which means Huawei cannot make their processors too since based on ARM. This is really the last punch to Huawei face.

if Arm is pulling its license to HiSilicon/Huawei (Kirin chips), I guess Huawei can still make use of Rockchip or Allwinner chips...pathetic performance though

Wait till Sony also halt their business dealing with Huawei then you’ll know the full impact.

Kasia too still taking at the same as RWM.

Some shops say taking in on web site, but if you go there, they won't accept the phone.

The site's alleged take in price is just to keep their resale price high.

Screwed in terms of their next phone where current phone is 0 dollars. So must fully maximise use. If using for full 3 years no issue.

so does that mean Huawei is not even allowed to get ARM-based chips from other non-US manufacturers? Like Allwinner and Rockchip? :O

If there are people who actually thought or believed that many of the things in a phone are inventions by the Chinese (or Huawei itself), they are pretty ignorant. Sorry to say.

ARM-licensed chipsets so yeap all ARM-licensed chipsets cannot be shipped to Huawei.

They'll have to create a new chip from ground up. Good luck on that though. Just look at Intel with their pathetic mobile chipset lol

That's quite sad actually. Without the pressure of competition, the other phone makers are going to become lazy and slow down the pace of innovation and continue to overcharge for their flagships for minor incremental improvements.

Huawei's push for multi lens Camera, bigger batteries etc were an impetus for Samsung and hopefully eventually Apple to improve the features on their flagships, such as wide angle lens.

Their software, sad to say, have always been mediocre. I don't think the plan B they envision will be any good when even their plan A is not up to par.

Sony provides the best in class CMOS senors now. Once Sony pulls out, Huawei can be out of the camera game :o

very funny, the owners are screwed only by the lack of value at mobile shops and the flood of lowballers in classifieds trying their luck.
