For context, this "review/update" is not an official update from Syfe although it looks like one from the poster. This is a youtuber with 79 subscribers vlogging about his portfolio performance.

Our rules have never changed. Promoting an external blog or vlog is not allowed. We may not strictly enforce this rule - a lot of people do occasional post a blog or vlog, nobody really minds too much. If one person suddenly starts posting vlogs from one or two particular channels, digging up multiple inactive threads to post in and drawing a lot of reports from other forum members, then yes, this crosses a line that we will have to put a stop to.

People looking for reviews for a particular product know how to search for reviews. If you have your own original content review, you are welcomed to post it in full on our forums. Spamming links to external reviews is pretty shady and is simply not allowed.

It's called spamming.

And the moderator has explained it pretty well.

There's a difference between expressing your thoughts vs. spamming and promoting.

Don't lump them to be in the same group and call out for lack of freedom, expression, lack of clear rules.
