I have an ongoing comparison thread between the 100% REITs and the Managed REITs

Actually I'm curious, for those who opt to reinvest your dividends...does the reinvestment increase your net amount deposited? Or does it only increase your portfolio value? Or does not increase anything at all?

Does not increase yr net amt deposited. The reinvestment can be seen via more units and increased portfolio value.

If yr invested amt is 1k, divi is 100, profit is 200. The screen show invest 1k, profit 300.

With regards to the 3 funds approach for investment, what do you guys feel about using this syfe reits+ as the local portion?

That's what I'm currently doing. Syfe's 100% REITs will represent my local component. That being said, the 100% REITs is overall a better product than the Managed REIT. I have a comparison thread that's been going on for about 4 months now, and the 100% REITs has been in the lead for over 3 months.

Thanks for the reply. In this case, is the managed reits or reits+ a better choice for the local allocation? Do you have STI or do you take it off completely? Thank you!

The 100% REITs is the better portfolio, which is what I literally just said in my previous post below.. I don't bother with STI. Just look at the returns in the past 10 years.

-2.46% currently. But I guess it will get better over time.

I'm a newbie in investment, recently took the leap and invested in Syfe Reit+ (100%) but I'm seeing negative in my portfolio return. I guess it's early days as i only started about 3 weeks ago. I put in a lump sum. I wonder if this downtrend in my portfolio is normal since i'm reading elsewhere of many people reporting gains of 4-6% for this same portfolio.

Fluctuations are normal, just make sure you average it out by contributing to the portfolio frequently (DCAing) to reduce the impacts of these fluctuations.
