But the hot stocks in 2000 are vastly different from the hot stocks in 2020/2021, so while it is almost certain that there will be another bubble in the future the stocks in ARKK might not make it till then...
The market roti prata quickly la. Now China open up. It either solve the inflation problem or drive up the inflation problem. In the worst case, create a strain as infectious and more potent than SARS, then the whole landscape will change again. 😆!

I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not...😅
Not sarcastic. I truly believe in innovation. Actually a lot of all these nonsense many ppl can’t really understand. Just like we tell ppl about amazon, Tesla, google in 2000, ppl will say we are siao. The question would rather be when is the right time to harvest? I don’t mind putting in a small amount for future generations. Not talking cock because I put my money where my mouth is.

I plan to have $30-40k. Currently only $15k.

I have also punted $30k into one of Auntie Cathies favourite stocks, just to gain some experience with growth stocks. Of course, my value investing bias hasn't left me so I picked one of the profitable ones with low debt, not those losing money and high debt 😅

I adopt the rule that it must be money I am prepared to lose, because I know that growth stocks are high risk.

I'll just call it a learning experience since I don't have much experience with growth stocks. 😅
I also got some junk growth stocks stuck under my Tiger account (never set stop loss in 2021-2022) hahaha
but $30k is still alot on 1 stock.

30k is not a lot if your portfolio size is like 1mil. it's all relative
for 1M portfolio, 30k on 1 single growth stock still alot to me.
Ok growth stock to me is small cap stock. Perhaps Limster is refering to something like Tesla (growing but having good balance sheet). 3% on Tesla is OK to me.
