So for those who use both expedia and asia travel, which one more reliable? Expedia is all-out on advertising, asia travel just silently in the background.

expedia is more reliable in my opinion :)
have booked hotel with them, if u cancelled ur free cancellations booking,
then they would email u the booking with the refund amt within an hour
asiatravel would take few days very long ... so insecure ... have to call n check

But I've seen many reviews that say that they booked on expedia and when they showed up at the hotel, the hotel claimed no such reservation leh. Saw quite a few people complain the same thing on their fb.

Yeah haha. Few hours could mean few hours of fun and relaxation on a holiday instead of figuring out where to stay for the night.

Expedia Singapore, or other places? Coz Expedia can have a few Facebook pages, prob one for each business country they are in.

Well, I think many people, like myself, will not bother to check with the hotel because it didn't occur to us that there might be any issues. So far I have been lucky that all the bookings I made got no issues even though I never email the hotel directly though. Knock on wood, lol.

Singapore I believe. The posters were Singaporeans.

So far i only prefer agoda.com

Haha I have heard good things about them, maybe will try to book through them for my upcoming trip.

want to tour, don't be stingy. want to be stingy, don't tour. :(:(
It's always a tradeoff - spend more money on the tour, spend less money shopping/eating/playing during the tour. And vice versa.

I don't think anyone wants to go broke in just 1 tour by not budgeting properly.
