Hi noob, thanks.
mine is bbright pf30, i bring to lbf they charing me 30 dollar just to check my bb
every time when i rotate my pedal, there is sound
Think you need to change lbs 30 bucks to check crank is stupid ..

Smiling devil thinks the sound is due to The bearings having additional grease after it is run in thus the sound . can bring to him to check

My bike which is using a pf24 Also has the sound but I'm not bothered by it it happens whenever I spin I torque the crank higher to remove the sound but it still comes back

The tool is really expensive the park tools one are at 150 SGD not worth it IMHO

I ride on Mandai T15 for my off-road.

Still pondering whether the upgrade will be worth it.

Btw, I am curious. You have been riding your Reacto for quite some time.
Do you feel any discomfort after riding a certain distance, since the bike is quite stiff in general?
Longest ride I did was I think NTU bike rally plus journey back and forth so I think around 190 k or so??

No discomfort for me so far though I had backache before I lowered the seatpost

My exp might be abit different cause I used to race century ride conditioning might be abit different

Can feel the stiffness when your pedaling hard can feel the bottom bracket area sway back and forth .. The ride generally abit harsh but if you pre empt holes you won't feel that much

Only thing I hate about the merida is that the front end is too high I want it to be lowered my saddle to handlebar drop is like 6cm compared to my previous s1 which was around 10cm

Because of the higher front I don't feel much discomfort I do get numb nuts at times but that's because I ride on the tip of the nose often

If you change to a longer one, your arms would be more out-stretched if i visualize correctly.

One way is to get an extension stem to increase the height so that your body don't need to lean forward that much. In this case, you have to adjust the stem vertically. Coupled with ergon grips, your palms shouldn't be that easily numb. The extension will also allow the rider to have more forward reach for a more aggressive riding position if needed, and can be easily adjusted.

The picture above shows more horizontal reach rather than vertical.

Mostly on road. What bicycle are you cycling? You can always join your respective bicycle brand cycling group on Facebook and meet them up. Tern, Brompton, Tyrell etc have their own events, activities and round island rides. ;)

Thks mine is a Giant full susp MTB,cheers

If not wrong, best to have it seasoned by the person using it. Had read that saddles shape to the butt of the rider would give the best effects. You season it for her the saddle would be shaped to your butt not hers.

Correct. It's the rider who has to season it.

Instead of Crius, I bought a Linus Dutchi 8 vintage bike for my wife. It uses 8 spd internal gear hub, with 29er rims and is upright riding. Bike is $1080. After adding basket, helmet and lights, becomes $1354.

I personally find Crius unstable and tiring to ride for longer time; maybe not used to small bike.

No worries. No obligation. Thanks. :o=:p
U want my aleoca foldable bike? But got a problem as I recently dismantle the nuts n screws of the saddle and cannot fix back. Hence you might probably need to buy a new saddle. Pls let me know your interest fast within one or two days if not I will ask other people.

Its unstable because small wheels are more easier to steer.

What's the weight of Linus Dutchi 8?

Unstable? Crius using 20" tyres lei then how abt brompton only 16". Ang mo so big size still can ride on it with ease or the overall bike build does make a difference regardless of wheel size?

Like what erwinrommel mentioned, just a matter of getting used to it nia. big to small / small to big wheels, change to the handlebar type will give u an initial wobbling experience. Used to get it when i switched between my bullhorn on my tyrell and straight bars on my brompton, but not anymore.

I have pains after rides >20km using the stock saddle that comes with my MTB. The someone told me that the saddle could be too soft and I switched to a hard saddle. No more pains for long rides. After that, I had been using hard saddles for all my bikes since, except for my vintage bike that uses a banana saddle. That one got nothing available to change.

Gona get a mtb, however for my height, 17" is the best fit. I test ride on the 17" with 29er. somehow i find it too big for me or not used to it. however i test ride 15" with 650b and find it more comfortable. my worry is getting the wrong frame size and regret later. headache man. never had such worries on foldies coz only one size fits all lol
