where got euro, its in pound :D, wireless is kind of cool, but with more batteries = more potential low batt issues, then u also need to separate charge each battery?. I like the shimano's one batt for all but that one also got chance that u forgotten to charge :p

Dont like the idea of multiple battery plus its 1k km mileage which is pretty low

probably some sort of gearing device that disconnect itself when its not powered.

I feel Tern and Dahon pricing is not really that "cheap" given the specification and the quality of the foldie at the price range between 500-1000. :(

There are many folding bicycles available out there.

For commuting and portability.. go Brompton. Most compact fold, easy to roll, 16" wheels but limited wide gearing, heavy and expensive. >$2k

If you prefer a faster Brompton, you can consider Birdy bicycle.. 18" wheels. More gears, full suspension comfy ride, folds to a small package but of course no where as compact and portable as brompton. Entry level Birdy cost >1.8k. But make no mistake, Birdy can go fast. I have seen my friends cycle Birdy and they have no problem cycling with road bikes.

Tern and Dahon are same family. Wheel sizes are majority 20(406), some in 22" (451) or 16". Price can range from $400+ to 4k plus depending on how fast you want. It features a mid frame fold that may compromise frame stiffness especially when going downhill or going very fast. Tern is more trendy looking. Both brands have very good accessories, especially luggage carrying options and add ons.

Bike Friday for the super quick folding. Very stiff, rides well and there's bike fitting. Very good for touring. Wheel size ranges from 16 to 22". Expect to pay >2k..

Tyrell for speed. FX is entry level Tyrell foldy that costs $2.6k.. FSX flatbar or dropbar for the speed. It folds very slowly and cumbersome, and the folded size is big compared to others because they do not want to compromise the frame rigidity. Wheel size is 20".

I didn't try Tonino Lamborghini, Java, Vert so I can't comment. I have seen Tonino Lamborghini bikes going pretty fast...

My next bike will most likely be a Tyrell. The speed and ease of acceleration is just plain awesome. I tried a Tyrell FX bike and climb up upper thomson slope and didn't even sweat at all. ;)

a sort of mini upgrade for the MV previous chain ring was horrendous

will have a chance to try when spare parts come.

BF has a whole range of models. Some are very fast folds/unfolds such as the Tikit. Some are meant specifically for touring such as the NWT and Llamas. Some are built for racing such as the Pocket Rockets.

Bromptons are terribly expensive when it comes to add-ons and accessories. I know someone who paid $250 just for a replacement set of those rack wheels.

Maybe he or she doesn't know where to source for better deals? I always go Brompton Culture to do some modifications on my Brompton.

The thing about Brompton is that there are too many proprietary parts. Everything is proprietary to make it a smaller package.
