P.S. My Rotor 3D+ 52-36T 172.5mm crank is for sale, if anyone is interested. Letting it go at $399. Normal retail when new is $1,300.

I thought Mighty Velo was the only Brompton dealer in SG?

Yeah... But because they are the only authorized dealer, they cannot do any non standard upgrades. :s13:

Recycle is popular for B upgrades

Yeah.. They are now looking for mechanic to replace Peter.

Love going to recycle shop. It's like going over there to chat with friends. Now with Peter gone, I dunno whether the crowd will go back.

Bro do u wear helmet when on the road?

Yup! My fave helmet so far is the MET Stradavarius, which is superb for local hot weather. I also have their Rivale, which is supposed to be more aero but slightly less cooling. I usually use that one when I have a helmet mounted cam.

If u dont mind me asking, how much is the whole setup as per the photo, and what's the total weight?

Sent from Xiaomi MI 4I using GAGT

Probably around 17 with pedals and those wheels. Weight wise, it's 8.1kg for this size 58 bike. Heavy, I know, thanks in part to the wheels as well.

But once you put Gokiso on your bike, you'll find that playing the light weight game suddenly becomes irrelevant, cus these wheels just roll so well, even uphill!

I once let my friend try this bike, asked him how heavy he thought those wheels were based on what he felt from accelerating from 0 and from maintaining speed. He thought for a while and guessed 1.2kg.

His eyes grew big in surprise when I told him they (with tyres etc) were probably about 2.1kg.

The idea of a so called 'authorized' upgrade is stupid .. just been to hk went flying ball didn't see the price but it looks cool when I saw it stuffed unto the suit case

They like many other atas LBS only service bikes bought from them directly, not including 2nd hand. They will service the bike regardless of any upgrades done by them or by others.

The bike from flying ball is definitely cheaper if u consider just the bike alone. But if u consider the freebies thrown in by MV and the local warranty. The difference wouldn't be very much in difference.. Also Tokyu Hands now sell Brompton as well, think the price is similar to flying ball or even cheaper.
