Where can I get a pressure mapping done for my butt? I suffer from saddle pain and I have some events coming up. So I am thinking of getting a pressure mapping done and then get a new saddle based on the pressure mapping data.

OK guys, need recommendations from you.

I am currently riding on 451 wheels, and the config is this:

53/39, rear smallest is 11.

So my theoretical gear ratio is very small-- 53/11. I found myself out-spinning at Pungool and ECP while chasing after road bikes.

I am looking at increasing to 55/42 to give a bit more push. But I am using Ultegra crankset, which means I will need to use third party chain rings which look awful.

Or the second alternative is to use Shimano Capreo hub and cassette, which has the smallest cassette cog down to 9. A 53/9 has equivalent gearing compared to a typical road bike setup (50/11 with 29 inch wheels), but this means I have to change my 10 speed groupset as the capreo is only 9 speed.

Any recommendations?

Cheers

whatever it is , it should meet the basic requirement as mentioned.
my budget is $500

i considered building one on my own , im cool with learning but it wouldnt it make economic sense to buy gas and welding tools.

please advise.

I got co pilot bike trailer if you are interested, below 500. Trike bike is difficult to keep. Dont think so you will want to build a cart unless you have the equipment with u. Trailer can be folded and is detachable.

I used gear calculator.com

HTML5 Gear Calculator

53/39 at 90 rpm on a 11 would give you a theoretical max speed of 39kph.
55/39 at 90 rpm on a 11 would give a max speed of 41kph. This is near the cruising speed of most better group rides

Increasing cadence to 100 on 11 would give a speed of 44kph on the 53 and 45kph on a 55t.

isit worth that extra $ to upgrade to a 55 since chainrings are super expensive?

How expensive are chainrings? About $200?
