So which size should I get if I want to increase my speed

You are right, the crank length is wrong. I went to measure it. The bikeactually website stated 130mm. I merely followed, even though it seems too short. Anyway, I have updated my previous post on the ratio.

I am likely to get from CRC. So I just select to pay in SGD will do right?

there are two ways

one by cc or via paypal

by cc you wont know the amount unless you have access to e-statements or end month billing (they will state the rate though)

for paypal the rate abit lousier but at least you know how much youre paying

I just threw away an L size helmet before u mentioned. Otherwise u could have it. I can ssrr got other stuffs or not.

I try not to go too fast with foldie. Very unstable.

How fast were you going to feel it's unstable?

It really depends on the folding frame design. For bikes like crius/tern/Dahon with a mid frame pivot, there tends to have more vibration. I normally don't cycle beyond 32kmh on my tern as the vibration can get quite a bit.

As for my brompton , it is more comfortable and stable even if fit is small wheel. The frame design and materials do help. Cycling beyond 30kmh is still stable on my brompton. It's my fitness that is the bottleneck; I find it hard to sustain >30kmh on my internal gear hub.

Tyrell and bike Friday are more stable at higher speed.

You can try out SNnoob tires first before committing to new tires purchase.

The standard ones you can find in local shops, the best clincher tires will be the Continental GP4000s II and Schwalbe One, in both 23c and 25c. Entire industry is shifting to 25c for normal races.

Endurance class races will be using 28c instead. But VERY hard to find them in Singapore. Have to purchase from online cycling shops.

I am using 28c btw.

I did a ride today total around 24.2km. Average speed 15km/hr on my virgin trip with Crius. Glad I am doing well and manage to cover every place within 1+hr. I am also noticing many beautiful ladies at ulu pandan PCN. I will try to attempt to fling with one in future.

My bike has 2 gear lever, 1 being the +/- another is 1-7.
What do they do?

did a simple search, and if my bike has 21 speed
Front gear is +/-, Back gear is 1-7

on the +/- there's 9 sections, each 3 sections represents a increase between gear 1 to 2

eg. LEFT[+/-] 6 and RIGHT gear 2 = gear 5

is that right? I'm a little lost on that...

21 speed is 3x7

The left one controls the derailleur on the cranks , turning.to the plus makes it harder to pedal aka bigger gear

The right one controls the rear gear, no1 is the smallest gear at the back aka harder to pedal

I think 1 is the easiest while 7 is the hardest.

i think its a 700 x 38c
how to tell if his rim can accept which tyre width (lowest) ?

An accident nearly happen yesterday at sengkang swimming pool pcn.... the aunty made a sudden right turn coz the cyclist (thinking to over take her) pressing both the brakes till the real wheel up almost 75 degree.....

got 2 ways after MBS, proceed along Singapore river, robertson quay then to Alexandra PCN then (1st route) once you hit lower delta road, u go along the pavement all the way until you reach Keppel viaduct then onto Sentosa.
(2nd route) you proceed along Alexandra pcn until you reach the end (near Queenstown MRT), then ride to Alexandra road, pass Ikea towards Hortpark, you ride until you reach Labrador park MRT, you can ride along Keppel viaduct to Vivo City from there or you can ride to Labrador park, and use the boardwalk which ends at Keppel Bay road, then u go along the Keppel viaduct to Vivo city.

once you reach vivo city (use the road between Habourfront and vivocity) same road with Habourfront taxi stand.. then ride along the bay and turn to the Sentosa boardwalk. IIRC, when u get to the sentosa side (Resort World) there is a escalator (Hotel Michael) up towards the big merlion which will bring you to Siloso beach.

Though Sentosa boardwalk is off limit to bicycle? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Don't know if there is a restriction, but I have gone thru via the boardwalk twice and there were also previous outings by the brompton group and LCSG as well.
