Over the past one month whenever I ride my foldie, my seat will keep making a creaky sound. If I ride and lift up my butt, there will be no sound. Only when I sit on the seat .

Any idea what could be the issue ?

Should be the saddle to rail mount that part which is making the noise..

Why do shimano assume we don't need the numbers? I prefer they just leave it there. In fact i prefer them to be luminous at night. Pay so much for their high end triggers but get one less feature?

My shifter comes with the indicator and also the cover should I decide to remove the indicator..

Nowadays I also nv see the indicator..

If that is the actual problem, nothing much u can do other than to change saddle..

My saddle creaks sometimes when i shift my butt..But other than that, nothing much that makes the ride uncomfortable..

Why only low-end trigger shifters provide number indication for the gears?
Higher end don't have, and must aga-ration. How come?

cause most people who use higher end stuff they ride often, they can tell whaat gear they are on without using any indicator, or they ride based on feel.

theres a gear indicator iirc but no one uses it

too many posssiblities, could be pedals, could be clamp could be saddle

Low end shifter?

I think 10 speed shifters still have indicators, but 11 speed do not have. I may be wrong though.

But personally, i prefer to have gear indicator. At least I know roughly what the terrain and conditions are like.

e.g. The first time i cycled Neo Tiew road, I was surprised I was using 4th gear (hill climbing gear) even though it looks flat. I went home and used mapometer to measure which confirms it is actually a slope.

Did you tighten the saddle clamp to the saddle rail?

Normally when my saddle creak, this is the main culprit.

Wah! I really noob. Even after spoon-feeding me like that, I still catch no ball on the difference.

quite obvious

top picture square taper, you cannot see the axle running thru it, basically the crank, comes only with the crank arms. you just screw it onto the bottom bracket.

for hollowtech 2, the axle which is connected to the drive side crank arm runs thru the bb, you need to set the preload on the Non drive side before tightening the cranks.

there is another variant by campagnolo where the two crank arms are joined in the middle, dont own one so i cant show

You must be riding very short.

The battery life for the front light is pretty short.

Actually yes, if on full brightness probably last u like 1hr at most??

That's why i have a nitecore p12 as the main lights and the infini lava as a blinker..

Oh. I thought specification state it last quite a while like 2-4 hours? If I don't use full brightness okay?

My bike is 11 gear group set, no number on indicator. I just feel it.

Usually specs will put lowest setting for max duration..

Depends on you thou, whether is it bright enough for the road infront of you at night..
