Got a dilemma. Think whether to use back my xt spd pedals one side cleat one side platform, or a broad platform pedals with quick release.

Spd because i already spent money on it with shoes, though i don't need it on foldie.

On other hand, broad platform will be more comfortable? Quick release is good when i take public transport or put in taxi car boot

I use spd or whatever you call that everywhere on all my bikes .I'm not too concerned about whether surface area is big enough

IronMac, do you mean to say that your bike has a bolt for the front wheel instead of a quick release? If yes, may I know what is the spanner size for teh bolt?

TIA.

I am sorry if I was unclear. It's not a bolt as in nut and bolt that you sometimes see. It's a round nut that you loosen and tighten by hand. I don't know why they did that but it may be related to the SON dynohub. I was very surprised/disappointed not to see a quick release lever when I first received the bike.

Broadwalk, today my turn to fall from crius bike. Lucky is slow motion from a cornering. Dropped into uneven ground then tried to swerve back but too late. After that used my palm to break fall. Lucky got wear gel padded gloves. If not, sure very jialat.

My left brake lever changed position and moved/pointing downwards. Both levers got heavy scratches. My ergonomic handle grip and saddle also scratched.

Left knee a bit abrasion, right leg below knee abrasion spread over half palm size. Think caused by pedal. If i wear spd, maybe wont get abrasion there, but how badly i will fall then dunno.

Even though i didnt knock my head but wearing a helmet gives me more assurance. Coz if got bike behind might hit my head.

Also regretted never brought along my first aid items.

Glad you can walk away from that crash. Take a couple of painkillers and rest up.

That time I was cut badly, luckily I have a friend with me and he is very kind and nice to get me some first aid kit when we stop by at the junction 10 there. Then next day I went to see doctor and have proper bandage. Please disinfect properly. :( It helps. :o

How is your 11-25t cassette??

Now i considering the switch from 11-32T to 11-25T...CRC selling CS 6700 11-25T for about S$52..Think i still can fetch maybe $40-$50 by selling my rather new M771 10 Speed Cassette on TGP...

Edit: Nvm..Hoot first talk later...
