Hi all, am planning to get a foldie for my gf to ride together. Just wondering if there's any recommendation for a foldie falling under the range of 200-250 bucks? I dont mind getting used bike but am unsure of what brands to search for. I am open to getting from taobao also. Please help to recommend disc brakes foldies if possible.

Appreciate the help!
I dunno whether the Java foldable will be within your budget can Google

I think getting v brake at lower value bikes is much more worth it IMHO

Java actually quite cheap. if you want the cheapest, try Giant supermarket.

wah this crius really looks like a dahon/tern clone. the frame looks like verge series.

the parts quite decent, litepro rims, avid brakes and sora RD, Schwalbe Marathon Racer (this one alone almost $100 a pair liao), alivio shifters. 10.8kg $868 nia.

For the price, its still ok. Personally I won't use Litepro parts as I have seen a few spoke failure. The chain rings also tend to wear off quicker than other brands.

I can't see the handle post design. Is it a solid piece or is it telescopic? And how's the folding like? Is the handlepost in between the wheels, or outside the two wheels?

For that money, I rather buy Tonino Lamborghini Concertto.

1) one-piece non-telescopic handlepost
2) handle folds between wheEls

My opinion is that handlepost in between wheels results in smaller fold, but more troublesome. Especially when the rider likes to install a lot of gadgets on handlebar like me.

I have iphone 6 bike mount, flash light, extension stem and camera/speaker on my handlebar. Can you imagine how difficult it is to remove all the gadgets before folding?

And lastly, how do the two wheels stick together after folding? By magnets, Velcro or...?

Rode with my fren from 630am to 2pm on sunday  manage to cover 85km with little nutrition, but totally shagged and sunburnt. All of us are still pretty novice.

Pls wear sunblock if necessary!

Haha all the water points got their own cut off timing.

For 168 i think u must maintain at least avg 25km/h in order nt to be cut off

for 88 should be ard 15-20km/h

anyone care to explain to me the difference between sora, 105, tiagra, ultegra? Ultegra is the best right?

I just bought shimano sora 3500 fd on crc for $20 then I realise 105 fd also around that price range. knn. feel so cheated.
