Mine is java fit. When I fold, sometimes I hear that cracking sound too. Best is bring back to where it was bought. Ask them check for you. Safer. I'm going to send mine in soon. My disc brakes creaking. Damn irritating. And seat post also.

Are the joints and hinges tightened? Better check. It may be due to loosened hinges due to vibration of the bike. Sometimes, its also due to metal parts rubbing each other. So some lubricants is necessary as well.

Ride on my cousin Java Decaf folding bicycle today. Apparently there's "cracking" sound. I found that when I press on the folding hinge area, that's where the sound originates.

Anyone knows how to resolve? TIA

I posted about my experience with a friend's Java Fit sometime back, same problem.

1) Open up the hinge(fold the bike), visually inspect for any cracks, defects, etc at the hinge area...

2) Check the folding joint lock handle if it's loose. If so, adjust abit of the bolt thats at the joint locking handle. Try to make it slightly tighter... Don't adjust too much here because if it's too tight, you will have a big problem trying to fold your bike later.

2) Be generous and slap ALOT of grease in the joint/hinge area. Make sure the contacting surfaces of the hinge got grease, then straighten the bike(unfold).

3) Wipe away the excess grease that's squeezed out. Make sure that you can still fold and unfold the joint, then test the hinge for the creaking sound again.

From my experience, it should help reduce the creak, but may not get rid of it totally.

TADA!!! Just got the saddle from macpork..

The red portion of the saddle looks orangish...
Haven't tried riding. But I sat on it and it felt harder to my bum than the Henge saddle I swapped out.
The shell the Henge saddle had was more flexy..
