not worth it

its much cheaper to buy the grouppo as a set and you need to change the wheel since 7 spd is freewheel and not a freehub.

worth it ? a 105 groupset is around 700 sgd even when factoring in online prices.

i see. sianz.. I think i ride till the c7 spoil then change bah... feel very sad... should have spent abit more for upgradability...

Urgh, my chain and front derailleur are rubbing against each other, when on the biggest chainring and smallest gear at the back.

I tried adjusting the 2 screws at the front derailleur but still rub.

anyone know, if I bring my giant roadie to Entro this weekend, they can help me?

TIA!

1) Check if the wire is loose while on the small front chainring.
2) Adjust using the barrel.
3) Yes all bike shop can do it at a cost.

if i buy verge frame and get components separately, isn't it the same as buying parts and upgrade c7?

or do you actually mean verge frame is better than c7?

C7 frame is different from other Link and Verge frames.

The folding is completely different. The main difference is that C7 handlepost is in between the two wheels during folding, compared to the Tern N fold for other Link/Verge. The handlepost is outside.

Link C7 fold (handlepost is in between):

Other link/Verge models (handlepost is outside)

Very significant difference if you ask me.

I see. But my c7 is seldom folded, so okay lar as long as stable and reliable, it's okay.
Just grousing that upgrades to 8/9/10 speeds are expensive... :(

Its not.

Other Link/Verge models have the Physis handlepost- a single solid piece of handle-post that cannot be adjusted, but is very strong. To cater for different riding positions, normally we use an extension stem.

The Link C7 is those telescopic handlepost. While its height can be adjusted, it is not strong and will flex when you peddle uphill or fast. The only advantage C7 has is that its cheap, and the folding is compact.

As for folding, if you install a lot of gadgets on your handlebar like me, chances are you will find it a chore to remove all of them before you fold--- if you use C7. The n-fold doesn't require the user to remove all the gadgets during folding.

C7 to upgrade Rd and cassette need upgrade wheelset.

My advise is to sell c7

Buy tern verge frame and DIY with 105 5800 components. If gt budget ultegra 6800

Ultimate poison! :D

Get Verge frame, use ultegra 10 speed setup... then change to 451 wheels.

Bets of the best!

wah sian. upgrade handlebar (to 1 piece), wheelset, brakes, derailleurs 到来, might as well get new bike!

yeah i need to remove my front light if i fold (which I seldom do), so C7 still okay for casual rider me.
